Always nice when I open up KZbin and see there's a new video out from Scott. I liked the way you separated the music and your guitar. Thought it sounded good and it helped.

at first the true magic of united 2:22 Skynrd seemed unattainable, but then, with Scott’s inside , it really just becomes a waltz. A really good waltz . You see Collins was gifted but if not for the support of the swamp based rhythm… and Ronnie put soul into every simple note he sang. No Sir , ya can’t but that at Berklee , no dis

Thanks for the great content Scott! I can remember wearing this track and others out on my stereo while working out the guitar on an old Les Paul copy that loved to eat strings! LOL I recently picked up an amp modeler and FR speaker. What kind of profiles do you suggest to capture the Skynyrd sound? I think I saw that you use an amp modeler somewhere. Thanks again! PS The kids today don't realize how good they've got it with guys like you showing them the way.
@seraines7 ай бұрын
Thank you for watching! I use a Kemper Profiler. Big difference from a modeler. I can model my tube amps and leave them at home. 👍🏼

Do you have any tips for getting a tone that works well for Skynyrd songs for players that don't have a Kemper? Thanks again!

Scott, laddie. Is there a way to email you ? I'm originally from Glasgow tho stateside now. I've an American cousin (passed) who knew Steve Gaines as a friend. I did a tribute recording of this with a fellow Scot (sadly, now also passed). I've played this song all over the UK but always the leads. I think Ed's rhythm tracks 100% rule the song but that's just me. I would love to be able to get this recording to you. It's me double -tracking two (separate) acoustic rhythm tracks, and then double-tracking the leads. I've watched all of yer content on Ed's stuff, over and over. I think his solo on "MCA" is subliminal and nightmarishly hard to replicate !! For some reason I'm not entirely certain I'm nailing his intro and onward rhythm. Would love to chat more, it's my sincere hope I've not gone too long here. 🍀🎸🍀
