I love the current vibe Riayn’s room gives. It feels like I’m at a sleepover with my best friend and we’re just talking about life. The mood lightening and your commentary make it comforting to watch. I think a podcast would work if you keep the vibe the same. The visual aspects adds a lot to the listening experience. I love watching how your face responds to what you’re reading and seeing your body language. I’ll support whatever you do girl. Maybe this is a naive response. But I don’t see why you can’t keep making Riayns Room videos but also record the audio and upload as a podcast. A little more work adding the mic but doubling the platform. Also appeals to the audio only vs video only viewer preference.

I'm cool with whichever being that I was a Twenty Whatever listener and also enjoy your vlogs but if I had to choose, I'd say don't scrap the audio footage, use that as a little podcast treat (and maybe a way to just see how audio style goes for future use) but I prefer videos just because I (personally) already listen to a handful of podcasts and I like the change up sometimes of getting to see my favorite content creators! Honestly i don't really mind either way wrt podcast vs video content, if youre feeling podcast, i say go for it! AS FOR VISUALS- i would love a timelapse of you doing something, using the audio as like a voiceover. I really love "speedpaints" with voice overs but i think cleaning, doodling, or design work (maybe designing your new podcast's logo? 👀) would all work super well!

Personally I would like Riayn’s Room as a podcast! I do like the visual as well there because it feels like we’re two friends chatting! I don’t see why you can’t have the podcast uploaded with audio only and a video version. That might mean creating another channel for just Riayn’s Room to live on which is more work to manage so I would say - up to you and your workload currently!

I found you through twenty whatever and absolutely love your podcast/ podcasting esk content. I consume podcasts all through KZbin anyways, sometimes just to listen, sometimes to watch too. For Riayns room I’ve particularly enjoyed the watching side of it because your visuals, mannerisms, facial expression add so much extra to the content. So if you did decide to upload onto a podcast platform too, please keep the visuals for KZbin. As for episode three, maybe upload it as your first podcast on podcasting platforms but also to KZbin as an audio file and literally just see how it does on KZbin without the visuals, if it doesn’t do so well then you know it’s worth keeping visuals going forward…

I like the Riayn’s Room for the laid back chat concept think it would be a good podcast/ video format with the occasional guest ie your friends family and collective members. You can continue with the advice/ chat format. Maybe do a guest once a month with a specific subject format. You and your guest could talk about all things, giving on a budget Jan starting off the new year goals budgets lifestyle February valentines and dating March spring fashion. This way you keep the same vibe incorporate a snack and a drink and relax and chat.

I LOVE long form podcast style content, and I would definitely love to keep listening to you on a podcast now that twenty whatever has ended (very sad😭). I find it’s hard to have time in my day to sit and watch even a 20 minute video on youtube, but if it’s an hour long podcast i’ll listen to it whenever i’m cleaning or playing video games, etc. and I definitely just gravitate more towards podcast style content on youtube in this stage of my life! No pressure what so ever on you making any weekly commitments to upload new videos/podcasts or anything.. but in my opinion I’d love to hear you on a podcast whenever you find time to film that type of content!

I personally listen to all my podcasts on KZbin, i love the video component. I love the Riayns Room vibe. Its kinda adjacent to smoke show from the tryguys. #collab! For episode 3 and uploading i wouldn’t mind 15 mins of video and then all the audio making the total video longer but we see where the video cuts out. I dont have editing experience so idk if there are issues with that method as far as execution. You are the expert in that realm so you do you! Ultimately even if there are technical issues I still want w/e you are making. Love you!

As for the episode with the missing footage, you already made the content. Your reactions and responses to the questions you answered will never be more genuine than that first go around. First of all. I like this video it makes it feel like we are just friends chatting about how to best enjoy our time. Second I think you should still do the video but also record just audio so you can post it as both. That way you can have the podcast and the video for both options. Also, girl we just like hanging out with you and getting to know you. So do whatever you enjoy doing and take us for the ride. I know you are in the middle of figuring it out. We have all been there. Shoot I am there now. My kids are all grown and I am trying to remember who I am. So honestly I am just loving the honest view and feeling like we all go through it.

Other people have mentioned doing both, posting the video version and the audio only version on respective sites where they make sense to be. I think if you should keep it as a video series and allow yourself have time to transition it into a podcast the way you want to. As a visual person I always enjoy the option to watch a podcast then just to listen. For the missing video footage maybe you can find a lofi - style animation loop to be on the screen for the remaining half of the video. If you like it, this maybe an option for future podcast if you ever feel like recording but don’t feel like being on camera.

I think it's up to you on if you want to rerecord the episode I personally would watch it either way. I literally miss twenty whatever and I think you would do soo good in a podcast on your own, there is no reason why you can't do Riayn's room as a video for your channel and then have a podcast also called Riayn's room that is just the audio from the video. That way you get the best of both worlds without adding an enormous amount of extra work.

Were you an editor before this? I would try working some visuals into the timeframe wi to out video just so I could post on YT. But also, most of the podcasts I listen to on YT I listen to with the screen off , so you could upload a black screen and some people would still “watch”

Up load the video portion that you have and for the audio only portion -- just put up a graphic (or multiple cute graphics/photos/etc). OCD Stories is on KZbin and their "videos" are audio only. I think for a one off, there's no point in redoing it. Your community will support you. Future episodes, I would definitely do video (for a larger audience appreciation).

I follow a dog related KZbin channel and they just have a picture of a dog on the screen and talk. So, I listen to what they are saying but, just see a picture of a dog. They have guest speakers and sometimes the picture will be of the guest. I say just put a solid pic on the screen and play the episode.

I really like the video format but go with whatever your gut is telling you because then you’ll have more fun. People pick up on what the creator enjoys and feels natural doing. For this one with no video you could shoot b roll of you cooking, dancing, working, setting up apartment stuff, or something random. Maybe inception yourself and hype your own advice 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
