Areepen Uttarasin was the man sent to negotiate the release of the 23 Thai hostages held in Gaza. We got to sit down with him in Bangkok and get the details of how it all went down.

Israel is so desperate for PR points, look how they forced them to wear those t-shirts 13:17, kept them for a week in israel and told them to not speak to the media. They wanted to fool the world as if theyre the heroes when they had nothing to do with it, in fact they couldn't be released earlier as this gentleman said because israel was bombing gaza constantly.

@@Aisha_KW I can imagine Israeli officials telling Thai officials to do exactly that, seeing that there will be a lot of photographers at the airport. Based on UN vote history, Israel knows majority of countries are never on their side, so showing Thai flag together with Israel's is a huge boost. Besides just benign oral statements later like that 'we are disappointed Thai officials didn't follow through with that' has geopolitical impact down the road. In one sense Thai workers still in Israel may end up being 'political/diplomatic hostages'! Just look at the country down south - Malaysia - which doesn't have diplomatic relations with Israel. After some negative statements on Israel recently, the US has started the first step - enquiring about Malaysia's relations with Hamas and Iran. Expect more pressures next, geopolitically and economically - Mainstream media painting negative lights on the country, more negative bank ratings leading to companies pulling out, eventually sanctions etc etc. Geopolitics is a huge beast, and a lot of things happen behind the scenes! That is why a lot of Arab countries look so impotent since the 70's.

When he said "we weren't negotiating" i immediately thought "you're asking". And that was exactly what he said. That's how you establish connections
@annoloki
@annoloki 7 күн бұрын
You don't need a connection. Israel has thousands of people kidnapped from the West Bank, including children, who they hold to control the rest of the population... you know, I want to take your home from you, so first I take your child... then when I turn up and tell you to leave, you do as you're told, because you know what will happen to your child if you don't. Hamas took hostages to use as leverage to negotiate the freeing of these people currently being held. We call them "terrorists" because then they don't get protections under the Geneva Convention, and it isn't a crime to torture them. We've been conditioned to see them in a certain way, as something scary... when their only goal is to free their people.

Galatians 1:8 But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse! The Quran was preached to Muhammad by an Angel in a cave which never claimed to be Gabriel. The angel even squeezed muhammad in pain when he couldn't read the texts. The angel forced him to read but he couldn't. Bible literally warned of a different gospel being preached by an angel, 500+ years after Jesus had resurrected from the dead

@@tmmmtmm05 do you’s not have copies of the Quran? There’s just one Quran in the entire world? I think u mean versions. There are multiple versions because the English Language changed dramatically over the years. If I was to read an English bible from 300 years ago I’d struggle to understand it even though I know English. The meaning of the text never changes. It’s just old words that have been modernised.

The key to this successful negotiation was the humbleness of the Thais particularly Areepan Utarasin which is very much apparent in this interview. Also apparent is the fact that they were willing to release all hostages only as a goodwill gesture with one meeting itself. This shows their intention was never malicious or to keep them indefinitely for an unattainable demand. All the hostages would have been returned in a month if not a week if Israel really intended to end the hostility and meet obligations for peace in the region. Instead 40000+ lives have been brutally taken and Gaza has been completely destroyed with this as a mere excuse. Arrogance and hubris go hand in hand. However, the media especially in US would have us believe otherwise

6:07 It's the same feeling for a lot of people. It's a trauma inflicted on all humanity by Zionists. We won't forget, we won't forgive. Justice for Palestine!

This my first time watching your videos. You're doing great independent journalism, covering the details that people want to know about Gaza and the Palestinians. Perspective that we need and want, especially here in the West. Most of us have given up on our mainstream media, who are driven by advertising $$$ and the agendas of whoever happens to be owner at the moment. Our governments are ignoring our pleas for Palestine, which is likely going to contribute to the chaos in November if we can't change it. However, thats nothing compared to what Palestinians have faced, especially at the hands of the IOF. I'm going longer on this, but I do want to say that one group's freedom fighter is generally the "terrorist" to the ones in power. It was said of the Irish independence fighters, of the American Indian Movement, and others fighting colonialism and oppression. Also, anyone who knows history, understands that groups with these aims use a number of different tactics. Some of which are violent. When people here start to understand what's been happening over the last 76 years, they realize the suffering that's behind the push for freedom. You bring a nuanced eye to this story. May your audience grow, and most importantly may yogr people find the freedom and justice they so deserve. Godspeed ❤️🇵🇸✊🌹

It's not surprising the colonial project kept the Thai hostages for a week, they don't want these hostages speak the truth about how Hamas treated them. in one interview israeli children hostage interview, he said the experience was fun experience, another girl learn to share. something that the world don't allowed to see. unlike Palestinian hostages that kept in israel camp, they treated horribly. as Hamas always said they will treat the hostages kindly as they are muslim, and all they want to release Palestinian hostages
