🤗 Hey Dee, I'm staying in tuned with you, loving your videos and appreciative of the good work your doing. Back in 1984, I was stationed there in Phillipines with the U.S. Marines and learned a lot from the Aetas ( Negritoes). The U.S. military contract with many of them via the Philippines goverment to teach the U S Military how to survive in a jungle environment, the training is called J.E.S.T: Jungle Survival Training, which was held in the mountain of the Zimbales very near were you are today. The Aetas have a great amount of knowledge that date back for over a thousand years. Of all the Filipinos they're most likely one of the few untouched by Western standards and culture brought to the Philippines by the Spaniards colonization of this part of Asia and later the Americans soon after. My observation of the Aetas when I was there are that their very intelligent in their own culture and traditions that seem very different from those of the West. They have manage to survive alone and secluded without the help of the Spanish or Americans andbhave so much pride in themselves and their culture. Even until this day 42 years later I often think of the Aetas and the skills I learned from them of how to find food, make shelter using bamboo, make a fire , trap wild animals, and clean ourselves in a jungle environment. One other thing I will never forget is this tree bark which they used a bolo machete to cut from a tree and then gave it to us to bathe with in a lake, to our amazement this bark had the same smell as the Irish Spring Soap that we use here in the U. S. These Aetas may live very simple lives but they have a treasure chest of knowledge.

This video was very informative in regards to preparation of healthy nutritious meals in the Philippine village which Africans thought was only meant for cows.. That reminds me of white American slave owners giving food that they thought was not fit to eat to enslaved Black people, such as Hog Guts (Chitlins, Tripe, pigs feet, tails, heads, tongues, etc, and the Black Americans would prepare some of the best tasting meals. The whites would also give the Blacks the juices from freshly cooked veggies while they ate only the veggies and not realizing that the natural vitamins/minerals were all in the boiled juices that they gave to my Black brothers/sisters which helped in creating some of the most strongest athletic humans in the world such as Mike Tyson, Muhammad Ali, Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Floyd Mayweather, Deontay Wilder's etc, of the world. No foods should be wasted when we have so many starving people in the world..💯💯🙏🙏

Banana stems also very popular here and cooked almost same way. And they are very delicious and defines our culture as mixing vegitable with fishes is not common in every part in India. the salt is basically helps to extract the juice of the banana blossom at thesame time it removes the bitterness in it and make it softer in texture. you can cook various dishes from banana blossom. You should try making fufu for them too
