Two giant shelves full of Longaberger baskets!!!! Drool! Loved the area around that second sale...so serene. I'd sell the silver-plated tea set separately and the rest as a lot. JMHO That was so sweet to pay the lady $100. She was obviously less hesitant after you said that. Great haul!!

I have had similar situations at garage sales where people didn't realise what they had & undervalued it so I have paid what I thought was a more realistic price. On one occasion I bought what appeared to be a nice piece of costume jewelry which I thought was circa 1920s for $25. Turned out it was a genuine ruby,sapphire & emerald butterfly brooch set in siver, dated from the 1700s from India. It was appraised at $12,000, & sold to a jeweller for $10,500. I went back to the garage sale lady & she almost fainted when I handed her $5,000. 😁all round.
