Good on you guys for returning the money! I remember when I was dating my now wife, I went to yard sales every week. I found a Dooney and Burke wallet for $2 for her to sell. I always check the insides for money just in case. I checked every pocket and nothing. Later in the day I dropped it off at her house and I left to go back to mine. After a few minutes, she calls me and asks if I put the $40 in there on purpose. I was like “What? No!” We wanted to return the money, but i had no idea where the yard sale was (I’m not great with directions). I just said “Let’s just count it as a blessing and move on” Still don’t know where that money was hidden. And the wallet was fake, but oh well. 😹
