The Rarotonga starling or I’oi is a forest-dwelling endemic species that is only found on Rarotonga. Since September, volunteers have been tracking the movements of 6 birds in order to gain a better understanding of them and their habitat. The survey is being conducted by Te Ipukarea Society with the help of VSA ecologist Rachel Selwyn in the Takitumu Conservation Area.
