SARDINES (That's for the FREE sardines!) I've been doing the sardine fast with you but I am eating a few pork rinds with mine. Only eating 2 cans once a day. I like apple cider vinegar with mine and either some mustard or hot sauce. I don't mind the tails because I grew up in the south eating the tails on fried panfish like bream, bass, and crappie! I've been stalled for the last couple of months so I'm also checking my ketones for the first time too. I was surprised that my ketones were only .5 after eating OMAD on sardines! My sugar has been very low for me getting down to 66. I feel dizzy at about 68. Dr. Boz was saying you couldn't lose weight consistently if your sugar is three digits so it's hard for me to stay under a 100. I have type II diabetes. Before I started carnivore I was having sugar numbers into the 400's!! I've done really good since I started carnivore/ketovore last Sept. Good luck on reaching your goal, but you seriously look good where you are!

Congratulations!!! I’m on day 2 of the sardine challenge but I was doing 48 hours fast eat just a full day then back to 48 feeling great but the sardine I honestly can’t eat more than 2 tins a day I’m extremely full from just a tin . But I’m going for 5 days then back to my 48 hours fasting life I truly enjoyed that.

I LOVE Sardines! Military brat, so mom bought for us to eat after school. You’ve got to put hot sauce on them. Not the regular hot sauce, but flavorful hot sauce, like Louisiana Hot sauce. Just a little. The sardines are cooked so the tails, skin and bones are great to eat. I’m doing a 30 day water fast but I will come off it with broth for a few days, then soup and then hope to move to sardines for about a week. Can’t wait! Thanks for your awesome vid!

I have Hashimottos thyroid disease, so doing a water fast really messes up my thyroid levels,the longest I did was 15 days,now I can't do more than 2 days,my body goes on lockdown and the abdominal pain is excruciating, but when I was young,it was so easy to do,but it made me lose muscle.

Like to try a fast but I think being fat adapted would be very helpful first of all and maybe a little bit more consistent in being strictly carnivore for a while. Day 8 for me. I also am doing around 8 tbls of butter, about 3 to 4oz of plain chicharrones fried pork rinds. I'm eating +/- (5) 3.75oz cans of Great Value brand sardines in water and Great Value fried pork rinds. Kerry Gold salted butter. I've lost 6 lbs. I've been carnivore for 434 days.

You are right. If I’m hungry enough I can eat them. And they are so filling!!!!! This is the only thing I take my time with eating, because I am trying to remove the bones. But meals should be consumed slowly anyway. I bought a whole cabinet filled of sardines last month. My intention was not for fasting but just as meals and snacks. Also I am eating these for heart health and because weight watchers say I can have as many as I want and they won’t be counted against me.

2:30 It's really good to know you can do 'maintenance mode', because that is also very important. I have been doing maintenance mode for 3 months now, and it wasn't supposed to be maintance mode because I do also want to lose some more weight. So I am going to go back to basics (day 1) and do a 30 day Meat, Fish, Butter and Eggs challenge. Dairy kept creeping back in (lots of decaf cappuccino's, brie, greek yogurt for dessert) and this lead to a cheat day on Saturday and finishing what was left over on Sunday and now I have cheated the last 3 Saturday's and I need to put a break on it. I love them with lemon and olive oil or make a paste of garlic, lemon, olive oil and parsley to put on them. It also helps to talk about sardines in a good light and be more positive about eating them. Looking forward to them so to speak 😅

I’m in the middle of my 3 day sardine challenge. I’m surprised at how different the different brands taste. I switched to water packed because so many of the oil packed has soybean oil(I’m allergic to soy of all kinds)and the Season brand is my favorite. I discovered that the smaller sardines were fishier tasting than the brands that were larger fish. Season cans have 4-5 large sardines and they taste less fishy than other brands.

Hi 6 weeks ago I was told by the nurse that if my sugar number’s did not go down I was diabetic ,not pre diabetic ,I went carnivore , steak , eggs butter cream cheese ,chicken fish , and , when my sugar was tested 4 weeks later it was good , ,and I am not needing to get up in the night. Hi Courtney! I have done the Sardine Protocol, as Dr. Boz calls it, several times, but only for 3 days at a time. I like the Season's brand the best. I do put it in a bowl and pretty much chop it up with a fork, mixing in the oil. I think it taste very much like tuna. I don't put anything else on them. The thing that amazed me was how satiating they are and how amazing my numbers were. I am trying to remember. On the third day, I think my lowest Glucose number was something like 27 which kind of scared me. My Ketones were over 6.0. I couldn't believe it! I know it sounds like I am not telling the truth, but seriously, I am. I have not been doing the 3 day challenge for a while, but I do eat a can of sardines in the morning for breakfast, several days a week, on a regular basis. I had a knee replacement a few months back, so I have not been sticking to only sardines. I am thinking that I should do it again. You have inspired me.

I watched this video while eating my flanken short ribs! Ha! I haven't done the sardine challenge yet. My son is about to graduate & I've been eating my feelings with all things beef. So I'll wait until the 2nd week of June to mentally prepare...to eat the sardines. My goal is to complete 3-4 days. It was great seeing your video today. I'm an emotional eater too. And I love to cook. It's a deadly combination. Your 6 lb weight loss was awesome and I'd love to break the weight gain cycle I'm in, but I've decided to take a slightly different route. I'm doing 3-day sardine fasts once a week (carnivore the other 4) until I reach my goal. I just finished the first week and lost 5 lbs. It will take some time, but I'm hoping to arrive at my destination sooner than carnivore alone.

I don't love sardines, but I don't hate them either. I eat them mixed with avocado mayo and some seasoning. I'm not carnivore, so I'll saute some veg and then break up the sardines and sprinkle them on top with some seasoning. The reason to go carnivore is to get rid of the crap, right. "Natural flavors" are usually anything but natural. Also, the skin and bones have lots of good nutrients.

YOU CAN ADD SMOKE FLAVORING, I prefer the Chicken of the Sea 18pack in olive oil, skinless boneless kind of defeats the purpose? calcium & minerals are in bones, skin, tails

I did a 5 day sardine fast recently. I love the King Oscar Olive oil ones. For variety I placed them in the air fryer on foil until they are slightly crispy. So good.

Day 1 sardine fast. I added 3 whole anchovies with bones, salted to my first meal as I read they contain even more omega 3 than sardines. End of fast, lost 1kg. Ketones up to 2.9 from 0.1! Fasting blood glucose took a dive though... day 1 was 5.4 at end of fast 3.5, too low.

Polar sardines all the way! They are the best!!! I ate some for lunch today before watching this video. After trying Polar sardines, it was hard for me to eat other brands, and I like sardines!

HINT: I eat them right out of the can; i got the brunswick golden smoked variety and its tomato basil one. I eat a can at 4pm, its SO FILLING that i dont eat any dinner, I might have an apple before bedtime. the first time i did this i weighed 2 lbs LESS the next morning, and this morning I see I have lost ANOTHER POUND. I eat normally until 4pm. for breakfast i have 1 heaped 1/4 c of raw organic oatmeal, with 2 lg spoonfuls of organic applesauce, half tbsp cocoa, bit of vanilla, bit of stevia, all mixed together well, and i dont cook it, i eat it raw, its really good and filling! then i have a slice of gf bread with bit of peanut butter. for lunch i have a small normal lunch with bit of potato 1/3 of a cup, some other meat 1/3 cup, bit of gravey (pkgd) or sauce. might have a few starch snacks (cheez it etc) SMALL amt of them and some fruit before 4pm. then i have 1 can of sardines at 4pm; then perhaps 1 apple at 10pm. I also have 300mg magnesium before bedtime, zinc, iron pills EVERY day, collagen powder every day. I play tennis 2x a week and ping pong 1x a week. this works for me. I DONT go to the gym, its boring and its work, its not fun like tennis or pp, etc.

I found I prefer the "sardines" with skin and bones present, especially when I fry them in butter.

Sardines!! This was a great video!!! I’m already at my goal weight but the challenge seems intriguing! I do need to incorporate more into my diet. Always loved sardines.

I think I’m gonna do a modified 3-day fast: sardines, eggs, pickle/jalapenos/hot banana peppers for crunch and mayo to make egg/fish salad. Yummm

I crush up some walnuts in my sardines for texture . I’ve also added tahini which is great . Both aren’t carnivore but beneficial if you can tolerate them

@@Jayla-dj2gjyes people eat the bones. The bones are so soft and tiny, that they're barely noticeable. The bones are a great source of calcium. Honestly, I didn't know you could even get boneless, skinless sardines and I've been eating them since I was a little girl. We would have them between toasted bread slathered in butter. SO GOOD!! 🤤🤤

I loved sardines as a kid. We would all gather at a picnic table as different kids went in their homes for saltines and sardines. It’s a fun memory.

Packed in oil is best even if you drain the oil (dog loves this oil). Can also sauté in MCT oil

I just end my sardines fast made it to 5 days. Felt great down 4 lbs. I have so much energy I can’t go to bed at 7:30 anymore lol… and your right when you feel like snacking or you think your hungry you don’t go for sardines lol…. Next week I will do a couple of more days! Thank you

I ate Sardines for lunch yesterday with Saltines. (Not doing a special diet) And I never ate again for 6 hours. I never thought about food or being hungry at all.. I ran out of Sardines but you have given me some ideas to make sardines. going to try air frying sardine patties somehow. I usually smash them up or eat whole with hot sauce and horseradish and sometimes with dijon with cracker or crusty bread

For flavor get Flower Spiced Sardines. They're not quite like a Nuri but they're $1.99 each and have 28 g of protein and are much tastier than all the other brands.

Ive never eaten plain sardines before...I usually eat a can of sardines mixed with tuna with mayo and use them as a dip for pork rinds. Maybe I'll try a sardine fast. Have you ever done a fat fast? So is it 3 cans per day for the sardine fast?

I found that sardines are more tolerable if fried in butter, add Dijon mustard and capers. The saltiness from capers takes away the yuck.

Try draining sardines, add finally diced half lemon skin & all. Either add cheese or natural yogurt. Few herbs spices. Mix store to eat when you want.

Because of you I took the plunge and tried a can of sardines! It wasn’t as bad as I thought, I only eat them occasionally, heard they are good for brain heath.
