8:50 Just a minor clarification, the gap between the fang and DHL gets smaller and smaller at vorkath the closer you are to max gear, with DHL eventually surpassing it by a significant margin. But both are very solid choices and I highly recommend grinding Vorkath with either weapon. Still, I think DHL should receive a very minor buff when it comes to killing dragons because it shouldn't really be outclassed at the one thing it's meant for (killing dragons with melee)

@@youreasnake4548 I doubt it will go that low, and if it does the devs are likely to start sinking it in the GE. Fang seems, to me, a lot like the Dex scroll. It's something literally every account with the required stats wants, is good a ton of places and a strict upgrade over the alternatives, and yet is a fairly common drop from a raid. Right now, Dex scroll is something like 30 mil, both because fewer people are doing CoX and because it's getting sunk on the GE. It took years to get to that price, though, and demand is realistically never going to go down. I expect Fang not to drop below 50m for at least several years.

great video! i have an idea for one, you could do an ironman rebuild video starting from 0gp. you can only start with lootable things like steel armor in the wildy and use shops to save up for nature tunes for high alchs etc. would take some serious brainstorming but would be a great watch.

Imo the fang just exposes the flaw in regular weapons and their over-dependency on rng when dealing with high defense targets. Above a certain defense level threshold the kill time variance without the accuracy effect becomes very significant. Maybe top tier weapons like the rapier and the blade of saeldor can have a dialed down but similar effect above a certain enemy defense level

He didnt have piety on for the 26, so that was his max without prayer. You can tell because the XP drop was white, and then the next one was blue indicating that piety was active for that hit

Since you can revert the Ferocious gloves back into the leather, it would have been nice to use those for the remainder of your task and then you could sell them afterwards. If you needed the def from B gloves then that's another thing. Great Video! Always looking forward to your content.

because the dragon hunter lance adds a percentage damage and accuracy buff on top of your base equipped stats with it, it has diminishing returns the worse your gear and levels are. In max gear, the lance is still healthily bis at vorkath, and even if you downgrade to faceguard, bandos, and fire cape, it still keeps a similar lead.

Rapier is still better for pure training and on anything with low defense. Fang is, after all, a 5t weapon, and its damage consistency effect doesn't make up for that. If you ever do GGs for some reason, rapier is better there as well, only behind the scythe (which loses money if used there).

it doesn't need a buff. it's 100m cheaper than fang and just as good if not better at most dragons. still bis for hydra and vorkath and all chromatic dragons, which is crazy for a weapon that is only 40m. there will always be an overlap because fangs niche is high def monsters, and metal dragons and obv known for huge def. but again, it's 3x the price. you are not getting bis with fang, just convenience and versatility.

Fang is also BiS at CoX if no 2 succesful DwH specs including Olm left hand. Its also BiS at Sotetseg even better than Scythe at ToB. Its also just super good all around for Slayer. Its also BiS at Barrows. Its BiS at Nex. Its BiS at ToA. Its BiS at Callisto. Its the best melee weapon against Bandos boss. It's also better than the Rapier on anything that has above 0 def, wich is like 95% of the monsters. I dont think you understand what "niche" means sir. DHL is the weapon you should call Niche. Not Fang, wich is literally very good at almost all melee content. It was supposed to be very good against high defence monsters but it actually did way more. Im sure Jagex didnt expect that.
