Because Latinos have Native ancestry, and Native Americans and Polynesians can look similar to each other. Plus modern Polynesians and Native Americans have a lot of European admixture due to the colonisation in the past.

It’s not surprising that Latinos, Polynesians and Native Americans can look similar to each others due to historical circumstances. Latinos (South Americans) are basically the products of colonialism, the ones with dominant European ancestry look nothing like these ethnicities mentioned above tho. For instance, people in Argentina look predominantly European to me, just look at Messi for example.
