Gotta say, as a stock clearance method this is pretty good. Sure, the 40K box was random AF, but they tell you that up front so you've only yourself to blame if you are disappointed here. What's nice is that it doesn't impact local GSs to hard because if you're just looking for a specific thing it's still better to go to them then buy one of these boxes and hope you get what you're after.

The supply drops are pretty much just GW’s version of Japanese fukubukuro blind bags. They date back to the 1800s and were invented by a department store, so not a newfangled predatory practice exactly. You know exactly what you’re getting into when you buy one. Downside: it’s a bunch of random shit, upside: it’s cheap. Also, I wish I’d gotten the Underworlds one. It’s a really good system for this model since the worst thing that can happen is you get a team you already own - and with the way Underworlds works (boxes getting retired and never coming back) you know ahead of time what teams can possibly be in the bag.
