I ordered two six string basses from AliExpress

PLEASE SUBSCRIBE - I did the unthinkable, I ordered two six string basses from the Chinese AliExpress. The instruments looked impressive, and the prices were unbelievably cheap, so I went for it! I play bass, also professionally, for a very long time, so I can tell what is a good instrument. I have owned many instruments and doctored around with them, always on the hunt for the perfect bass instrument.
Watch the video, find out what kind of quality I actually got, and if it is workable with a few tweaks. Spoiler alert: one six string bass was bad, one was very good with a few adjustments. New tuners, new pick ups, new electronics and new bass strings can give you a very solid instruments.
I explain what to look out for on AliExpress and also manage expectations. In general, business is done quite differently on AliExpress, very different to buying an instrument off the shelf in a normal music shop or a regular online store. The buying process is not a straight line, but if you are sensible, read reviews, communicate and are willing to compromise, you can get amazing results.
