That’s quite true. I buy alot of pretty but almost useless things ( useless since I wear them rarely ) this really takes up alot of space but again I’m young and I think I should let myself enjoy by wearing nice clothes.

Question from an European to Americans: do you all have hanging wardrobes? Like no shelves? Because here people mostly fold their clothes and keep it on shelves, I hang my coats, jackets, dresses and some fancy clothes. The rest is all in drawers or shelves

Well, since closest normally just have one rack to put stuff in I think most people hang the majority of their clothes😊 since you have to buy additional things to have a place to fold them, it's not as common. But I think a lot of people have drawers but hanging is definitely the go-to way to store clothing.

Most apartments and homes in the States don't have built in storage shelves (unless you are lucky enough to have a linen closet to keep towels and blankets). Many of us will use dresser drawers to fold clothes away, but they aren't always practical. Especially if you are younger or move apartments between leases, you probably won't invest in a large heavy furniture piece like a dresser.

It can vary! I prefer everything hanging in the closet, but my boyfriend destroys hangers and the collars of his shirts if they're hung up, (he just yanks them off- clearly no cares lol), so all of his stuff is folded in dresser drawers. I've even went as far as doing that standing on end folding technique for his shirts, otherwise he'll destroy the pile looking for his favorites. It bothers me way more than it bothers him, so it saves my sanity!

I noticed it too haha. In Germany we fold probably 80% clothes I think. Personally I fold tshirts, sweater, pants. And dresses, blazers etc are hung up 😄

With the skirt hanger, if you use your own clips, you can hang another set of 5 skirts on the other side. Just stagger the clips. 👍 Source: I have a metal skirt hanger too and that's what I do with mine.

those skirt hangers have been around for a long while, I remember them in my Nana's closet with her skirts. You can also clip and hang skirts from both sides with two skirts to each clip! Great job on organizing!!!
