I COMPLETELY understand your new fever symptom! It’s been plaguing me for 2-3 years now. Almost EVERY day - especially in the morning hours, my temperature runs 100.8F. Which anyone who’s dealing with that ME/CFS symptom knows it truly adds to the exhaustion! (I’ve been dealing with ME/CFS for 24 years now.) AND you can be freezing at the same time… YOU’RE NOT CRAZY! Thank you VERY much for this vlog… sometimes I’m amazed at just HOW much you ARE ABLE TO do compared to myself. Sometimes I feel guilty that I can’t do more. But then I remind myself - SO many of us with ME/CFS hide our truly bad/low moments/hours/days. PLEASE continue vloging - I don’t think you realize just how MANY people don’t feel so alone by watching you… THANK YOU! ❤

Wow, thank you so much! You've been on a really tough journey with ME/CFS. It's incredibly validating to hear you relate so closely to what I shared in the vlog. Don't beat yourself up for not being able to do more. ME/CFS is a complex and challenging condition, and it affects everyone differently. The fact that you're managing at all is a testament to your strength. It's true, that many of us do tend to hide our worst moments, which can make others feel isolated in their struggles. I try to show both sides here on my channel. The good days and the bad days, but the worst days... I don't even have the energy to pick up the camera so those don't get shown at all. Your encouragement means the world, and knowing that the vlogs help people feel less alone is a huge motivator for me to continue sharing. Sometimes I feel overwhelmed in making content so your comment really helps me to have motivation to continue making them. Especially when I don't get many views. Knowing that the few views it gets make a difference is enough for me. Your message is a powerful reminder of why it's so important to keep talking about these experiences. Thank you for your kind words and support. You're a vital part of this community. Much love and gratitude to you! ❤

Thank you for keeping it real. I'm in a pain flare at the moment and it makes the every day tasks so exhausting. I did some laundry today and that's about it.
@tt_looking_glass10 ай бұрын
I'm truly sorry you're in the middle of a pain flare. It's incredibly tough when everyday tasks become so draining. Managing to do some laundry is actually a big deal in times like these, so give yourself credit for that. Please be gentle with yourself and rest as much as you need. You're doing your best, and that's more than enough. Sending you a hug and hoping you'll feel a bit better soon. Hang in there. ♥️

Absolutely, cleaning the refrigerator is one of those tasks that really does take so much more energy than most people realize. It's a big reminder of how different daily tasks can be for those of us with limited energy.

40 years + I’ve been in pain and I still haven’t learnt how to pace. If someone forces me to stop, I feel bored and lazy, whereas if I’m down and out due to pain to me that’s ok 🤷♀️. Painkillers, well all my medications make my life liveable, even though the only time I leave the house is once every 6 weeks, which guarantees not only a flare but a stuffed back. Anyways, hope you have/had a great time in Mexico. xxx
@tt_looking_glass10 ай бұрын
Wow, 40+ years and still tackling the whole pacing game! It never ends. I totally get what you mean about feeling bored and lazy when someone tells you to take a break. I have a really hard time sitting still. I absolutely had a great time in Mexico. It was incredible, really - the vibes, the sights, the whole atmosphere. Made sure to enjoy every bit of it and, you know, tried to pace myself with the excitement and all. I was in a lot of pain but it's a lot better to be in pain and have a bunch of distractions than alone in my house only thinking about the pain.

I can SO relate to overdoing it on my better days as I find it very challenging to let myself rest, especially when the house is dirty/messy. A clean organized house makes me feel better mentally, but sometimes it just isn't worth having a migraine the next few days. I try to do smaller tasks throughout the week, but let's be real, I often get behind on household tasks and I'm never quite satisfied with the state of my house . It seems to be a constant battle. Maybe one day I will have a cleaner haha. Thanks for the relatable video...this journey can be so lonely. Hope you're having fun in Mexico!!! ❤
@tt_looking_glass10 ай бұрын
It's so hard to just sit back and rest when you see things around the house that need to be done. There's something about a clean and organized space that just lifts the spirits, right? But yeah, the aftermath of pushing too hard can be brutal. Migraines are no joke, and they're a high price to pay. Trying to spread out the chores over the week is a smart strategy, even though it's tough to keep up sometimes. And I hear you on never feeling quite satisfied with how the house looks. It's like you're chasing this ideal that's always just a little out of reach. And yes, Mexico has been amazing! Sending lots of love and hoping you find a bit of balance and a way to be kind to yourself amidst the daily battles. ❤

@tt_looking_glass10 ай бұрын
Hi! I'm glad you found the video enjoyable. You're right, finding that balance of how much to push yourself when dealing with chronic pain is a real challenge. It's like walking a tightrope between managing your health and trying to stay active or accomplish tasks. Listening to your body and recognizing your limits is crucial, but it's often easier said than done. I am terrible at it. Thanks for your comment. Take care!

I can relate. I make a plan to do one main thing and end up distracted with another. When I over do it my lower back hurts and I also get very nauseous with too much movement when I’m cleaning up. It’s horrible. I don’t get a fever but I get very very hot like my whole body is on fire. I can’t maintain my home anymore. I try but it’s physically so hard.
@tt_looking_glass10 ай бұрын
I hear you, it's really tough when even your best-laid plans get derailed because your body just doesn't cooperate. Getting distracted is one thing, but dealing with pain, nausea, and feeling like you're overheating anytime you try to tackle something around the house? That's a whole other level of frustration. It's downright horrible not being able to maintain your home the way you used to because of these physical limitations. Just know, it's okay to adjust your expectations of what you can do. Your worth isn't measured by how clean your space is. You're doing what you can, and sometimes, that's all we can ask of ourselves. It's okay to seek help if you're able, and remember to give yourself grace on the tough days. You're not alone in feeling this way.

@@tt_looking_glass Does anyone have suggestions for pain relief? I was prescribed a muscle relaxer but it takes 3 hours to kick in. Tylenol helps a bit. Advil makes me nauseous and Drs are now discouraging it. So glad to have found this platform. Thank you for taking the time to acknowledge us and reply as well. That means a lot. Hope your weekend has been good. 😊
@tt_looking_glass10 ай бұрын
@@nadiaaquino7382.Are you seeking long-term pain prevention or immediate pain relief? For prevention and treatment, I use Low Dose Naltrexone. Additionally, there are several antidepressants that target pain receptors. In cases of acute pain, I have prescribed medications such as Meloxicam for inflammation, Tizanidine as a muscle relaxant, and Oxycodone for severe pain that requires urgent attention. Please note that I use these medications under my doctors' supervision. It's essential to consult with your own healthcare provider to create a tailored plan that suits your needs. The combination of preventive, acute, and emergency pain management strategies allows me to maintain a reasonable quality of life.

Ive got a trip planned to visit friends in a few days and in a flare. Luckily my partner is driving so no airports. Ive been feeling stressed as havent been able to go to work and today I went to go for a walk and couldnt make it very far at all. Im determined to get to work tomorrow as i dont want to be stuck in and miserable. It really helps to see you validate the experience. Hope you are enjoying your trip.

Hi love watching ur vlogs. Most def a everyday same situation with me. Living on painkillers def adds value in order to live life to the fullest. I overdo which cost m the next day to stay in bed but im not worried its worth it esp enjoying spending time with my grandchildren. Even with fibro my family understand and support but at times its like they forget cause we overdue and act normal around esp the kids. Cooking is my end😢 cleaning and yes forgetting to eat. Its just very nice to watch u and saying to myself ...oh my word i know how u feel cause thats m. My spine feel like i cant quite discribe it and from there it effect my entire body. Stinging burning stabbing all sort and ppl think u exaggerating if i say i feel like i wanna explode like go poof into air. I drive i do everything myself but like every 3rd day its a bed day. Stay blessed and thank u for ur valueable time. Gentle huggies.

Thank you so much for your comment and for sharing your own journey with living with fibromyalgia. It's incredibly moving to hear how you find value and connection in my vlogs, and I'm truly grateful for your support. I understand how tough it is to balance the desire to live fully with the need to manage our health. It's a delicate dance between enjoying our good days and giving ourselves grace and rest on the harder ones. Your story reminds us all that while our conditions can often feel isolating, we're not alone in our experiences. Thank you for reminding us of the importance of support and understanding from family, even if they might not always remember the struggles we face. Stay blessed, and thank you again for taking the time to connect.

Oh I know that feeling - when I’ve stopped overdoing it and listening to my body, well that means I’ve grown lol. But I am unreliable and that’s what puts me off travelling with others when I can’t retreat easily. But well done.
@tt_looking_glass10 ай бұрын
body and recognizing your limits-that's definitely a sign of growth. I totally get how feeling unreliable can make travelling with others a bit daunting, especially when you need the flexibility to step back and rest. It's crucial, then, to choose who you travel with carefully, ensuring they understand your condition and are willing to adapt. True friends will definitely show their support, recognizing that being ill isn't a choice and demonstrating empathy because they know you'd do the same for them. It's all about mutual understanding and respect. Celebrate your self-awareness and the steps you're taking to take care of yourself. Well done on navigating these challenges. Keep honouring what your body tells you, and remember, your journey is uniquely yours, and you're handling it with grace. With the right companions, your travels can be much smoother, surrounded by those who truly understand and support you. You're not alone in this.

It's incredibly frustrating to go from keeping everything just so, to struggling with basic tasks. Having to take breaks every 20 minutes is really frustrating. We all have our battles, and it's okay to adjust your pace and expectations. Hang in there, and remember, taking care of yourself is the most important task on your list. You're not alone in feeling this way.

@tt_looking_glass10 ай бұрын
Yes, I take LDN for for fibromyalgia. It does make a bit of a difference for me too. While it hasn't completely taken away the pain, it has helped. Like you, I still experience flares, but there's a noticeable improvement in having better periods in between those flares. Before LDN, it felt like I was constantly in the midst of a flare-up, so having those moments of relief now feels like a significant change. It's always a journey finding what works best for our bodies, and I'm glad to hear you've found some relief with LDN.
