A mother’s work is never done. Especially when you live off grid. Great job Mom!

It is so refreshing seeing the kids out in snow, rather than cooped up indoor with tablets. Love your life style

Thanks! We love it too. No tablets for these kids!

This was so great! I could so live like you if I were young again. I love your life. You are amazing. Today, we'd say it's too cold for kids outside. I love how you teach your kids to move and be active. You have to be active to live your lifestyle. I love it!!! Ty Erika.

The music, editing and filming are perfect! That's a lot of work! (If your guitar has value it shouldn't be close to the wood stove or it will dry out and possibly crack.) Nice going!!
@thehomeintent11 сағат бұрын
Thank you so much! That means a lot as I’m still pretty new at this. Thanks for the tip on the guitar, luckily it’s nothing special, but obviously we still want to care for it properly, so thanks for pointing that out!

I also loved living in an area with four seasons. But, I must have driven my mom crazy when I got wet and cold and wanted to come inside!

Chicken questions: Do you let your chickens free range in your yard in the winter? And how often do you put in new wood shavings in their coop? Do you notice your chickens egg production slows in the winter?
@thehomeintent11 сағат бұрын
We haven’t let them free range because first they don’t seem interested at all in the winter and second Molly will go in there and harass them. Almost every day I use just enough wood shavings to cover up the fresh poop. Production has gone waaaay down. Went from getting at least 4 eggs per day to now 1 or 2. I’ve heard if you put a light source in the coop, production will continue as usual, but haven’t tried it.

Aren’t those eggs frozen? I thought you would need a heated space for the chickens to stay during winter 😮
@thehomeintent11 сағат бұрын
No frozen eggs! The coop is insulated and closed up at night so it does stay above freezing in there.
