3rd grade or not, people grow up and apart. The plaintiff missed some key points that could have helped her. Whether it was $550 or $700, how much was returned to the plaintiff from the account? When did she receive it. If she approached it that way, maybe the defendant would have been caught off guard and confirmed the plaintiff's version.

I met a guy and we became friends through a friend. I really liked him and ended up loaning him some money. He had not repaid it back and gave me another sob story so i loaned him some more. Total it wasn't much about $250 . Then he started avoiding me. I still liked him but then one day he turned the corner and we ran into each other. He was a little shocked. I looked at him and said, "Jerry I miss your friendship and I know you're avoiding me so that $250 you owe me is paid in full. I want you to feel comfortable around me and not avoid me." He said, "oh man thank you so much but you didn't have to do that" We talked a few more minutes and he had to leave. As he did I said, "Jerry" He turned around and said, "yes" I replied, "by the way the bank is closed" LOL At least we resumed our friendship until I moved away.
