It's easy for me to let clothes go especially since I am looking to work remotely!! Feels good to let go of clothing that is not being worn. Plus now you have more space and have the clothes that you wear the most.

I too did a big closet declutter!! I also did a paper declutter!! I have downsized so much with my stuff, I can't believe it 😳!! I too had bras that was too small so I donated the bras to Dignity Matters. I only brought three things: a dress, a sweater that was on sale for $8( I couldn't pass that sale) and a blouse. I'm resisting my urges to buy new stuff. You did a great job decluttering and downsizing your clothes!! You are inspiring me to downsize more with my clothes.

i was so surprised to see you don't have more subscribers! just came across your channel and i love your outlook on decluttering and this was so enjoyable to watch! I recently decluttered my wardrobe and got rid of around 8 bin bags of clothing, which i then donated and feel so much better having 3/4 of a wardrobe of things i know i'll use. i still have some items i'm unsure of, but minimalism is definitely a process over time and it feels so much better to only have things you actually enjoy and can invest in using(:

(and like you say, even more amazing is the feeling know you have things left you'll actually use!). And I agree with it being a process. I've been slowly working at it over the past year, gaining confidence as I go but honestly, my wardrobe is the ONLY thing I'm currently satisfies with. @@jamie-vlogs i have been doing it on and off for a few years, but the past 6 or so months i've tried to declutter more often through daily life, instead of having one massive one every 1-2 years and being overwhelmed by the amount of things i own and therefore, also becoming a lot more mindful of what i own, wear and my clothing purchases! i would love to venture into other rooms, but i still live with my mum (im 18) and she doesn't quite have the same mindset as me haha, (she holds value to items, because she's spent money on them, so doesn't want to get rid of things as she thinks 'well i've spent money on this, so therefore it has value', and doesn't understand the ideals around the item bringing HER value and joy, rather than it being a tangible source of money/value) so it can be difficult when i prefer to have a clearer space and we don't see eye to eye on things. But i'm hoping when i can get my own space eventually, i'll be able to carry this over and live more freely :)

For helping remove stains: buy a clear (colourless) grease-fighting dish soap. Wet the stain with a cloth or sponge, then rub in some of the dish soap. Leave it for the enzymes in the soap to munch at the stain for 5-15 min before throwing the item in the wash inside out. Air dry so that if there is some stain remaining, the heat won’t set it. Repeat if needed.

Thank you SO MUCH Emmy! I will for sure give this a try. I bought something called 'galltvål' (bile soap, haha!) when I visited Sweden and is supposed to be used in a similar manner. It was popular decades ago, but seem to be having a new trending moment. I will definitely do this, especially the air-dry as a big cause may just be me 'setting' the stains. Oh lord. Hiii Lesley, it is actually dry clean only so I used to take it, until I didn’t. That’s just the honest truth! But you are absolutely right because it would be worth it, but with decluttering it would be the cost of keeping it going and I love it but still have to figure out how much haha 💕 a second opinion or nudge is always welcome though sweet!
