My first ever Scoot Airlines review, and I’ve got to say that it started out more action-packed than I was expecting (due to my own stupidity).
This is a full review of Scoot flight number 875 from Tokyo (NRT) to Taipei (TPE). I was seated in 2A for this 3.5 hour flight, and the aircraft registration was 9V-TRM. It was an A320 btw.
Was $130 too much to pay for this flight? I’ll let you be the judge of that…

It's "soothing" to listen to and you don't mumble and/or say "ummmm" a lot or repeat yourself. You say things that are relevant at the right time and talk through the entire video. I know, right?! 😅 I had two things going for me. First, with the empty airports these days, getting through passport control and customs didn’t take much time. Second, they actually started boarding about 10 minutes late so that worked to my advantage as well.

Hey there, hello from Singapore and stuck at home too. Thanks for sharing! Scoot has now shut down most, if not all, of its flight for the time being. So it’s really kinda surreal watching this. Anyway, do you have footages for airports? Maybe you can start doing airport review videos, starting with TPE, my second most visited airport after SIN. Stay safe!

SANspotter Yeah, they have cancelled flights because SIN stopped accepting transit passengers and any other passengers who are not Singapore citizens/residents. The same goes for other SIN-based airlines like SQ, MI and 3K. Jetstar Asia ceased operation altogether for at least 2 weeks. Tough times... Stay safe, will keep watching your channel!

Hi Scott, i think you should do the recording of the record run from airside to landside and back to boarding gate. It sounds like a potential for first person running view (like in those First Person Shooter game). Did you have high expectation when you boarded Scoot since they are owned by SQ or you just dive right to it and follow the flow. Look forward to your next video series. I think its hilarious you make a big note at the intro to show when the flight was made just to claim some anxious viewer eh lol?

One thing is for sure - it was pretty much the opposite of the typical Singapore Airlines experience. 😄

as a travel agent I book Scoot so much for clients, well used to, :( cheapest way to get from Australia to Singapore, and for the price is great, no customer has ever complaint, and also is a safe airline :) stay positive.... we all suffering with this covid, mostly those who lost loved ones, and the ones that love travel, i hope goes away soon

Yea maybe too much, here in Western Australia we can get up to Singapore on Scoot in one of their 787's for $100. They are a good cheap option, usually LOL and the legroom on the 787's is pretty good too. There was a KZbin video on Scoot's page maybe 2 years ago , poking fun at Spirit for looking similar. If you get stuck at home in quarantine search it up:)

$130 for a 1,355 mile flight (2182 km) is a flat out bargain. On another note, Scott, just imagine the bargain basement deals you'll be feasting on once airlines start increasing their flying schedules bit-by-bit in the future. On top of that, oil prices will likely remain very low for some time too!

@@dhan1syah , I know about peak oil whereas the majority are ignorant or in denial about it. Also, the timeline mentioned in my original comment is short in the overall grand scheme of things. Put that in perspective for you. By some estimates, Saudi Arabia is said to have 182.5 or so billion barrels of oil in its reserves. If it were the sole supplier for the entire world, this is slightly less than 6 years supply! That's not much. Also, the powers-that-be will never ever tell the world when we hit peak oil, which will be followed by declining production each and every year thereafter. To make things worse, people actually believe batteries, solar and wind can rescue modern industrial society. They can't. They can only help, but that's all. It takes money, energy, expertise and TIME to mitigate our situation. To put that in perspective for you, we would need to complete one big nuclear power planet each and every day until 2050 to do the job. Again, WHERE are you going to get the money and expertise to do this? Bottom line: we are going to experience die-off in one form or another. Take a guess what the 'medications' are really for?
