I’ve heard of Chichibu as a rather scenic destination with mountains scenery, am actually considering booking this train for my trip in Jan. Thanks for this idea!

This is why i love travelling to Japan. There's so much things to do and places to visit. You took the 1.40pm train back so i assume you only spent like a few hours at chichibu?

Wow I would love to take this train!! Love these kind of creative concepts ❤ And that one day pass is so worth it, I’ve bought something like that before, is very very worth it. Saved me so much money on transport. The privilege of being a tourist. 😍

Yes only available to tourists so I envy 🤣

Last went to Chichibu way back in 2014, pretty much a decade ago. Suppose to drive up to see the unkai but somehow (the weather) failed us. Check out Tokorozawa for the Ramen Walker Kitchen (if you followed the 2011 programme where celebs move around the entire island country to sample & recommend ramen that are only well known to locals)
