@@JoeyDoesTech today I desoldered the retimer chip and did the work again pin by pin with microscope. I tried the MgChemical flux and worked very well (only a bit sticky to clean...) BUT THE XBOX NOW WORKS! It was personal, I knew was the only fault ;-).Cheers from Italy and up the (soldering) irons!

Great fix Joey. Surprised that didn't heat up but makes sense it's blown. Probably you're cheapest fix too, can't imagine a cap/filter being more then a pound lol. Easy money great work.

Don't get fooled by the FLIR image showing bright spots on reflective metals, that's a limit of the technology and not indicative of that piece of metal actually being warm.
