I don’t understand why he keeps saying “I don’t like to hire someone who is NOT native - I prefer no accent.” Fact: Everyone has an accent to people living in different countries AND IF he knew anything about singing, it’s that singers tend to pronounce words differently in order for proper support, to make sounds come out the way they want, and for a unique sound. A great example is the chick who sings Dance Monkey. She’s Aussie. I can’t finish this video… seriously.

I'm a seller (and buyer) myself on Fiverr, this task would have been really hard for the singers. You took the low-price category sellers, so they just do what they've been asked to do. I've experienced a huge difference in cheap and expensive singers, over $200 is often descent quality!

mostly true, but price on fiverr doesn't always reflect quality, you have very talented people that are very humble, or amateur artists asking astronomical payments for mediocre results, it's a gamble really unless you know their work ahead of time

Hey Jon! Always a big fan of your stuff, including this tune. This video, tho… I don’t know. Is it not a little mean-spirited? You are a good producer, so you know you basically set them all up for failure by not even giving them the melody to riff off. A fair contest, if one was even necessary, would have been to see if they could beat the finalized vocal at the prices they are charging. Instead, this just comes off as an inevitable “blasting” of unsuspecting musicians trying to make a living by doing their best with what they were given. Just an observation. Good luck with the new studio. 🤘🏼

I'm a native english speaker with many years experience working in the music business and I have to say that the Romanian girl's vocal is amazingly good. She's also bang on in tune, plus her top line is really good. Her work is worth well more than €28.01 The young Italian guy is also a good singer and did a good job, the rest are not what they think they are unfortunately. I'll recommend 'disatrid' to folks I know in the business, she's as good as the singer you used on your own track.

Repeating this comment and question "Do to you" is a nice good feeling track. Also I got a technical question for you. As I seen in your previous video you've bounced all tracks of "do to you" in to waveform for mixing did you bounce them dry or wet? Please explain the procedure if they are wet or dry! like if it's dry bounce you keep effects in your DAW. what about effects busses and if its wet what do you do if something like some reverb or delay doesn't fit the mix. What about panning!? ... any more info about this procedure will be appreciated. By the way it seems there are 15 times do to you ;)

Fiverr is a great place to find good artists. The most important thing is DETAILS and INFORMATIONS. The artist needs as much informations as possible to be able to deliver the perfect work. None of those artists delivered the perfect work. Some of them because they don’t use their voices correctly and some of them because they didn’t understand perfectly what the buyer wanted / expected .

@@adrianmutimer3820 Hello Adrian! I haven’t hired singers, I’m the one that’s offering the songwriting and/or vocal services. Usually the client sends me a beat and asks me to write lyrics and melodies based on a specific topic . I’ve also wrote lyrics on top of a melody guide played on a piano. Fiverr offers everything you need in order to send the files, you don’t need any other app or software to share them.

His songs sound amateurish and his vocals are much better than the instrumentals. I remember him complaining about producers who use pro-sounding Splice's vocals on bad-sounding beats. He does something similar. But we can call him a good producer, he knows how to make his songs sound better by hiring the right people, and that's pretty important in this industry.

Great video! I work on Fiverr as a voice over actor, but I am a singer as well and have been considering offering a singing gig on Fiverr as well. I am curious to know why you didn’t choose a vocalist from the US or UK if you wanted a non-accent sound? Once again, great video! I enjoyed the content very much.

I rarely comment, but I will not tolerate False Claims. If you select such random people in which just 2 were acceptable out of all you picked, you're purposely selecting the wrong people. You must look for vocalists based on the demos they put up, and whether they have the voice and style to go with your particular requirements or not. I myself have heard innumerable vocalists on Fiverr who are Brilliant. I sell my services on the platform too, and it's astonishing how you managed to pick most of these people even when their styles and abilities had no match with your music.
