There is a reason why most people only put in the hours on their lords and monsters and basicaly only drybrushes the regular soldiers. It's the time, and if someone wants their soldiers to have the same detail as their lords and monsters then they either put in the time or pay someone else to put in the time. I kinda lost my chain of thought there.. but the point is, if you want a deluxe lord dont just pay for soldier quality. And you shouldnt paint deluxe quality on people who is paying you to paint their soldiers. Even tho it's painfull not to give every mini your full skill. No, if you only get payed 7.50 id say you owe them clean paint, clean lines, basic shade and basic highlight. No gem facetes, no glass lenses, directional lights, battle scars, or rust (beyond maybe using texture pains. But that's maybe). If someone were to pay you 50 dollar, then you could give them the whole package, but then you should also have the skill to justify the price.

I mean fiverr is okay as a networking site. Find someone on there, like their work or inversely them as a customer and then start doing things via paypal/check/other method. That 25% is to cover creating the platform, fraud protection, work integrity and other things. I dont "Agree' with that cut but I also think that people should be looking to abandon the site asap once they get a little networking done.

I literally find WC boring but this guys voice is so relaxing. His tone, pitch and accent make me feel so relaxed. And seeing a cute little baby as-well. Endorphins have most definitely even released 😁

Uh, nope; pretty sure it was Imperial Fists he wanted. Just really, really tan Imperial Fists. No fire.

It's the Imperial Fist version of: "They never saw it coming!" One quickly jumps the enemy with the helmet and puts it on them backwards, while the rest do the slicing.

Hey man, it's me, the guy who made a completely misjudged comment on your latest video about the medieval scenery. Realising how shitty it sounded despite no intention of being that way, I thought I'd extend my apologies even further by rating my top 3 videos of yours that helped me find love for the hobby again. So here goes! This is actually the first video of yours I ever watched, I stumbled across it while searching for inspiring content. The anticipation of seeing how the models came out kept me hooked. I also like how you analyse people's work without sounding super critical (something I lacked with my comment) even though not all requirements were met.

"This guy knows how to do business!" The guy who asks for $25 Fiverr takes 25% - left with $19 pays for shipping from pocket, -$15, left with $4 pays for paint materials, lets say he only uses $3 worth of materials. gets paid a whopping $1 for his effort and work that doesn't even really cover for the time talking with you let alone actual paint job and skill. yeah, flawless business strategy. The only person here with business sense is Devpaints :"3
@christophercant5 жыл бұрын
The whole discipline seems so underpaid, I don't know how anyone can make a decent living at it unless they live somewhere extremely cheap. Even the guy charging $100, his hourly rate was still probably low.
@moos52215 жыл бұрын
Very true. I understand that squidmar wants to settle for a low price and that includes all shipping, etc. But the artists work time is extremely underpaid in these offers. Squidmar kind of makes fun of the artist describing himself as passionate, but I think you can only do these offers if you are really passionate about doing them and painting them just for the fun, because the prices are never fair at this level.
@chrissre79355 жыл бұрын
15$ for a small package like this?
@chrissre79355 жыл бұрын
@@christophercant It is underpaid because other artists dont value they work. You will find someone that will make that cheaper or for him it is a hobby etc.
@MG-wx9ib5 жыл бұрын
@Lemazive They didnt know this will happen... from what they seen this is some random dude asking for them to paint. Like this is what they get paid when a customer buys this. Basically nothing. Yes this time it was different but the comment was made to point out how underpaid this is. You not seeing this is... quite sad really.
