Jimmy, you said your parents are in their 50's. I am 56 and telling you that paying off their mortgage will be such a relief in the long run for them. They will be able to have much more financial freedom to put their money on bills or vacations they may have been putting off, or even sock away some money for an early retirement. A saying in America is "Don't block your blessings." Meaning, you paid the mortgage off for your parents. They should accept it because if not, they'll block the blessings coming to you, their son. You are such a good son. They did a great job raising you. You're such a blessing to them. Much love to you and to your parents.

@@cbazxy2697 19:59 to 20:10 well yeah parents have a responsibly to raise their kid. I lost my mom last year to suicide and it has been one of the most mind-shattering experiences. I had a lot going on for me at the time: I was 23, I had faught hard to get back into school, I lived with my girlfriend who I loved. I was finally on a path where I was happy with myself and what was going on around me. Once I graduated college, my goal was to be able to support my family in the way that you have supported them. I really wanted to give back to my mom just like you. She was a single mom for many years of my life and we essentially grew up together. I wanted to be able to do what you have done for your family. You've really inspired me, ya know? It's Finals week and I've been putting off studying because I have so much self doubt. I feel lost without my mom, but I know she would be proud of me for what I'm doing. I have you to thank for pushing me to get back on the grind.

Its because the father and the mother beleive in old traditions. The father more so. Its pride. In China the parents take care of their children. Even when the child is an adult. The child does not give to the parent, the parent gives to the child. That is why the father insists on paying the son back. But I know in the end he will accept the gift as the mother I can see already has.

Dam Jimmy, I'm happy for you mate. This act is truly praiseworthy and one of the most valuable gifts a parent could receive. It truly shows what an amazing person you are and how caring and kind-hearted you truly are.

Your mom is so cool. She really respects and talks to you, values your thoughts. My parents are a bit more like your father, more imposing and more wanting you to do something a certain way. I think your relationship with your parents is beautiful, and while I fell off the Jimmy wagon a year ago or so, I had to come back for this. This is really nice to watch. Thanks for sharing.

Jimmy is a good son. I can tell his parents are old school. And have a hard time with emotions. Especially his dad. But the mom does well trying to explain her husbands feelings for his children. Even if he himself can't put it into words. Congrats to this family.

13:13 dad be doing all the calculations with the mortgage interest rate and inflation and everything to see how much money they will be able to save by not paying back all the mortgage all at once. I love this dad🤣

This was amazing man. My mom is Viet and came to Denmark as a boat refugee, but she has made a very stable and good life for herself and us. My mom and dad are paying off the house this year, so all I can really hope to do is to make a good life for myself, and make my mom proud through my own achievements. Would have loved to be able to provide my mom like this, but I'm glad that she's in the fortunate position that she's in

Much respect for you Jimmy. You were wise enough to reflect on everything, and you get it. I hope this inspires others to do likewise, paying it forwards. ❤

Bro. I was just talking to my parents about how I’ll make it up to them but things are just so tough right now. Working barely liveable wages, and how everything just seems to be more expensive by the day, this really helps me live vicariously through you and inspires me to do the same even more, even if by other means. Thanks Jimmy. You fr the goat for this
