"Its looking good! Until I realized I didn't like it." That's the most real thing for any artist! Lost count of the amount of times I started to like my painting, only to dislike it later on. Absolutely love the final result! They look golden in the frame, I love both versions, but I think I like the one on paper a little more. Would love to get either as a print, if you ever decide to turn one into a print! ❤

I'm really thankful you kept in all of that struggle in the video. Sometimes its easy to think other artists can just paint/draw without a second thought and you're the only one having a hard time. So seeing this reminded me how much work it actually takes for everyone to make something they like. ❤❤❤ I think the canvas is my favorite but the one in canvas paper is also very beautiful.

I relate so hard to the redoing over and over again, its perfectionism that every artist strives for, and it's sucks, cause it's harder to fall in love with your painting, because it's not as high as the potential you have mentally. I relate so much🥲❤️
@neon-kq6wz7 ай бұрын
As a painter the amount of times you restarted is incredibly relateable lol im glad you keep the parts where its not going "well" in your videos, as someone who's not up to your skill level its a little reassuring that artists that are more skilled than i still struggle just as much as i do 😂 even though sometimes it can feel like such a sloggg to get through a painting thats taking a long time 😮💨😮💨

I just really appreciated your transparency about the laborious process. Most painters I see only get to the polished video and probably scrap the less than smooth processes and it makes me feel like no hope bc literally every project I have wasted time (sometimes A LOT) with trying things and scrapping and trying something else. Thank you because it makes me feel hopeful knowing a talented artist like you struggles just like I do sometimes❤ it’s all part of the process

I have to say how much I truly admire you and your never give up attitude. You were feeling defeated so many times but you kept at it and then showed us all how reality looks for an artist. I think all of the three versions of the painting were gorgeous but the one on the paper was my favourite and the one you put in the canvas was my next favourite. I think that the painting looks fantastic in that frame and it gives it an element of true classiness that the painting deserved! God bless you. It's so cool that your posting again.

Oil on paper is one of my favorite ways to paint. Especially when I had very little room for making my art, as canvasses can take up a lot of room, sheets of paper are much easier to store when you don't have much room, once they are dry of cause. It's also great for practicing art on a budget, just get a block of fairly heavy watercolor paper, prep it with gesso, or even just a layer or two of cheap acrylic, and you're good to go. I used to tape several sheets on my door and paint all night when the mood stuck. Good times~
