@@rfeatmorelana He had severe laryngomalacia (floppy airway) and a swallow delay, meaning every time I fed him he would aspirate (the milk would go into his lungs) and he couldn't breathe properly. The night I brought him to the hospital he was choking and turning blue. Thankfully he grew out of that with thickened feeds and around 2yo he had his adenoids removed to help his breathing, but as he grew around 4.5yo he developed severe obstructive sleep apnea (his adenoids had grown back and his tonsils took up most of his airway) and would stop breathing for 30 seconds at a time. That was around when Covid started and they stopped doing surgeries for awhile. That was super scary because his team of doctors said if it continued for a year it could start to affect his brain development. I'll never forget the nurse who cried with me on the phone during the early days of covid when everything was so unknown, because they wanted to help but couldn't. From the time I noticed the apnea until surgery day it had been like 8 months, so we were cutting it close! But he had the surgery at the end of June 2020 and knock on wood he's been ok ever since! He turned 6yo this past July and is in first grade now 🤗

This reminds me when my mom painted my baby sisters room celing and walls all sky blue and with clouds, but she used grocery plastic bags to get thr texture instead if sponges. I thought it was awesome as a kid.

The clouds look AMAZING! I’ve done a wall mural in a large classic car garage before and used a scaffold, so I totally feel your pain and fear with standing on it. It’s so hard to do large scale paintings like this in general, let alone doing it for the first time. You did such a great job!

So excited!!!! My soul sister doing all the renos and decorating that I wish I had the space and money to do. I swear it’s so uplifting to watch her do these videos. We love you Mia!!

I had a cloud room in my old house throughout my childhood. Painting it was a dear memory. I used sponges on the clouds. (I also had cloud sheets and pillowcases, cloud comforter, and used leftover paint on a floor lamp to make it cloud pattern. Lol long live the 2000's)

Oh myyyyy what fun u guys had, your moms laugh is so contagious. I must warn though my husband fell of a ladder and shattered his ankle very badly, he had an emergency operation of just over 3hours to put on an ex-fix, its a steelcage with 12 steelrods through his leg up to his knee. He had to cope with that for just over 4 months and had another operation to take off the ex-fix and remove steel rods, believe me its no joke, after little more than 5 months he is still on crutches, actually progressed to only one crutch and moonboot now. Guess what im trying to say is PLEASE be careful an accident happens so fast, take special care and make tripple sure everything is sturdy before u climb on. U guys are such a special family and an inspiration to all. Keep safe and God bless

Love the dynamics between her mom panicking about every single crack that thing makes and her dad being absolutely chill about everything lol

Scaffolding is awesome! I worked as a muralist for 6 years and I always enjoyed climbing and sitting on it, it’s got more support for the structure. The dangerous part is the ladders. One day it just slid from underneath me and I smashed my foot into oblivion. I was on crutches for 6 months and have permanent disfigurement :(

That was adorable. It reminded me of me and my mom climbing all over scaffolding to paint a mural on a 40 foot wall. I thought I was going to pass out and die! 🤣 we were also on a ramp and the scaffolding had wheels! I was so scared we would forget to put the breaks on and roll straight into traffic!

Mia- im 35, we've had our home for about 1.5 years now, and each room has a different theme. Everyone who comes to my house falls in love with it and it absolutely amazes me that people aren't more involved in making their space their own. Please make each space unique to you and your family! I can't wait to follow on your journey, I love you all so much! PS I think Mama Maple's first cloud was my favorite!

You are so lucky to have parents who are so involved in your life! // I'm not a fan of blue, especially baby blue, but this is really nice! Compliments the fireplace stone very well.
