I feel like there are two kinds of artists: Those who do one thing very very well and never branch out or those who get bored incredibly easily and dabble in as many mediums as possible. I love watching Jazza lean into the second style even though he may feel like he most resembles the first type.
@Jonanation2 жыл бұрын
I’m somewhere in the middle, I use a lot of mediums, but not that many at the same time. And it’s few enough that I am comfortable in all of them.

messing around with other mediums is a great way to get out of an art “slump.” if i ever feel stuck on an oil painting, i’ll do a super loose, sloppy finger painting with acrylic and those have become some of my favorite paintings
@crazyminegamer2339 Жыл бұрын
I’m definitely the second. There are so many mediums I still want to try in the future, and so many I want to combine in my current art. I want to be someone who actively dabbles in a lot of different mediums abs gradually becomes very comfortable and preferably very skilled in all the ones I enjoy.

That realization of "YOU HAVE NAILS!" was just beautiful, haha. Very cool to see all these different professional level applications of something we usually think of only children doing. Fingerpainting is so satisfying too, I definitely recommend everyone trying it as an adult!

What I loved about this was after seeing Jazza explore Bob Ross’s art style for years, he casually used his hand to create the mountain peaks like how Bob Ross used a palette knife. Seamless transition of technique ❤️

As someone who only finger paints with oil paints (I wear gloves) im really happy you're giving itna go. The fun bit is your fingers can do far more than a pallet knife or paint brush. It can be tedious but man is the outcome beautiful

I like following Bob Ross tutorials sometimes, but I always end up using my fingers to fix certain spots I don't like. A paint brush and pallet knife just don't move the paint the way I want it to move. What sucks is I'm not wearing gloves doing this...

it looks really fun to do. I usually get hung up on details when trying to do something. mostly too much. so I think this form of painting can be good training for not overdoing it, and actually let the art be art. fantastic.

Love it. Using what you have to hand must be how art started millennia ago. My sister used this exact technique one Halloween after she was left in her cot long enough to get bored. All she had for her abstract expressionism were hands, a stuccoed white wall and a full nappy. (That’s a diaper.) Luckily our mum is an art lover. Edited to add important detail: she was 2.
