What an unexpected ending, I imagined some hallucinating sure, being sleepless and all that, but I was leaning more towards psychological trauma from lack of sleep causing them to see some supernatural nonsense or something, or the TV hosts being sadistic and having them unintentionally kill each other in some way. Yet, this was somehow more chilling, since it could honestly happen, without it being too big a stretch of the imagination.

That was fun. Good characterization on the narrator as a would be KZbin star in over their head. I myself have voluntarily and knowingly taken hallucinogenics, and when done correctly it can be an enjoyable and even therapeutic thing, but I cannot even begin to fathom the psychological terror of ingesting them unwillingly, unknowingly, without being prepared. Then they all decided he was lying and ended up taking them. I know that personally, I'd never take a random pill... especially not 2 of them. Cool story though.

Ugh. I remember always hearing chatter about that lowest common denominator “Jersey Shore” crap damn near everywhere I went during the peak of it’s popularity. Buncha banal bullshit. ANYWHO! Oh snap! The twist went a different way that I wasn't expecting. I knew something was up with those pills, so anticipated the hallucinogenic fever dreams. Then once it's revealed what was really going on, it's already too late. Really liked how the story slightly misdirects you, then confronts you with the heavy reality of it all at the end.

Honestly I didn't care for this story. The ending kind of made up for it but the protag and his dumb decisions kind of reminds me of 13 reasons why where it is more frustrating than anything. I understand that that was a big part of what moved it along ,and may even be somewhat true, but the title and feeling of the story gave me higher expectations than what I got. If I'm being honest, this story only worth it because Doc is reading it.

Loved this story! Never take a pill or substance that you don’t know what it is or where it came from. We found this out the hard way when my dog swallowed a baby Benadryl and couldn’t stay awake. $500 later we learned the dog was okay, and to always make sure the kid swallows the tablet and doesn’t spit it out when you aren’t looking.
