@@keshiarobinson8230 I watched like 75% of Jason Dion's courses, took 4 of his practice tests and read a few random chapters of the official CompTIA CySA+ CS0-003 textbook. I've also been a SOC analyst for 2 years and have a BS in computer science

I am preparing for this exam,I am already Security+ and Pentest+ certified,and i have to say the study guide overlaps with the previous ones. It's just theory and few command lines. Comptia should implement more hand on labs, than just memorising procedures and technical terminology. In the study guide Comptia is saying that we should be familiar with debuggers, like Immunity Debugger and GNU Debugger, although they are not showing not even one screenshot about these tools, and how to use them.

I just got my job as a Security Analyst and I have my Sec+ for about more than a year now, it expires on the 2026. I am wondering to upgrade to CySA+ to renew my Sec+ but I think it maybe too soon? Should I stay in my role and get experience before I get my CySA? I don't want to wait too long to get my CySA+

I bought the 002 materials but the test expired before i could take it. So was using that 002 study guide enough to help you take the test? or did dion cover new topics that are on 003 that aren't in the book? I'm asking because i really don't want to spend more money on another study guide if i already have one

@@lilmamagc yes to answer your question I think it was still helpful and as long as you are using supplementary resources like Jason Dion practice exams and videos etc, I think you will be fine :)

Congrats! I just passed Sec+ last month now studying for CySA+. I am on Chapyer 6 of the book and I absolutely loathe the style of this book! I will be switching books and going with th All in One instead.
