What an incredible game. To be losing your main and mainly be concerned about not producing from the bases being ransacked, while calmly rebuilding on the left and constantly counterattacking, to set the stage for an incredibly clutch last fight with a cloud of SCVs cosplaying as a battery overcharge and two hero Thors, the last defenders of humankind against Skytoss. Banger episode!!

​@@GameFuMaster Vikings are still the best counter to Tempests and Carriers. The bonus damage to armored and quicker speed trumps armored air all day.

@@troletrain Right... So you want Vikings, with a range of 9, to counter tempests, with a range of 14? To then fly close enough that carriers can easily initiate their launches (range of 8) which can then easily follow them back and take them down? Vikings get 4 shot by tempests. So your effective power is being lost before you even fire a single shot. It takes at least 10 shots to 1 shot a Thor, and any unkilled unit can just be repaired and is just as deadly. Since thors are more gas heavy than minerals (weighted), you'll have plenty of minerals left over for marines to take care of interceptors, and then just stim in once the interceptor levels are low.

25:37 the two thors at the end looked like something straight out of star wars clone wars... it was just 2 thors, 1 tank, and a bunch of scvs against the separatist droid army... that tank was still alive, zoning off the entire droid ground army, the two thors held on like some kind of standalone ATT-1s, the tank falls and now its just the 2 thors and you're rooting for the severely outnumbered clone forces

I don't know if you read my comment on an earlier video and/or listened to me but this is what I was talking about when I said we don't need extra challenges added to the one you're doing (i.e., marine-medivac or cyclone-mine added to PF Rush). The video I'm referring to left me feeling frustrated, as I root for you and feel a little like I'm watching a variation of my absolute GOAT self (which I'll never be anything close to 😢😅🤣) and it's frustrating when you're pushing the limits too much and pretty much throwing (no offense). You could have lost this and I'd still be a-okay with it because you did your best and made logical (and arguably super-advanced, in some spots) decisions but it's really about the fact that when you win it, it's more rewarding than if you had insisted on increasing the challenge level too much. Please keep yolo-ing but do it with the right amount of restraint! Just my 2 cents! GG!

Have you considered rushing building armor? An early game PF with armor would tank so many hits.

The PF is the only building that benefits from that upgrade, he's better off getting Infantry Weapons with the gas, IMO, for when the rush fails, like in this game, and he has to scramble to defend against anything.

Running Thors away from Disruptor novas is something we haven't seen... until today.

He's had a thor only army comp challenge and went up against a protoss that went mass disruptor. Even with uThermal's great splits, his thors got hit by just about every disruptor shot because they're to big and slow.

the hard counter to carriers and tempests is nuke. make them spend all their recalls and then nuke this fleet. they're too slow to save themselves without recall so the opp's micro has to be mega insane in this case.

just commenting for the algorithm but also: have you thought of using a proxy base to ferry a worker into opponent's main, where a proxy barracks/factory can be built while the CC floats off to become secret base? Not sure if the timing works out at all
