Hi! This video was published in autumn 2021, all bulbs bloomed beautifully in spring 2022, you can see them in my video "My spring balcony garden - 600 bulbs in containers" 🌷

Do you keep the bulbs for the following year to replant or do you treat them as annuals and buy new bulbs each year? Really happy I found your videos ! They are wonderful! I live in Johannesburg South Africa .

Hi! I'm very happy that you enjoy my videos ☺️! Yes, I keep some bulbs, especially Crocus and Daffodils because they come back every year without any issues. I keep Daffodils in pots and I plant other plants on top of them.

Very useful video! I also have tete-a-tete daffodils. So if I dig them out now and put them in a paper bag, where should I store the bag? Thank you!❤

Hi! Store the bag in a cool, dry place, such as in a cupboard.

What do you do with the bulbs after they bloom and wither? Do you keep them or throw them away?

How do you avoid your plants getting vermin? my houseplants often get vermin on the balcony. I do not know what it depends on

Oh I'm sorry to hear that! In my garden there are both beneficial organisms and pests which means it's a healthy garden 😊. I try to support natural biodiversity so that good predatory organisms like Ladybugs, Hoverflies, Centipedes, Spiders can take care of the pests. Of course plants are not immune to attacks but just like with humans - if plant is not growing in its optimal conditions and is stressed out it's going to attract pests and diseases, but healthy plant in good shape is less likely to catch them. If things get out of control like this year I had vine weevil grubs that ate roots of some of my plants - I introduced their natural enemy like nematodes ☺️
