I Platinum'd The Ratchet & Clank Trilogy

In this video, I got 3 platinum trophies for the Ratchet & Clank PS2 trilogy! These Ratchet & Clank games originally released on the PS2 back in the early 2000s but were ported to the PS3 later on. This allowed me to go for their platinum trophies, using PS Plus to stream them! They were a huge part of my childhood so getting all the platinums for the Ratchet & Clank trilogy was a great experience! Planning to do the others as well!

Nick, I know what you should do for you next platinum. I just got it today and it took me 12 hours ( Its also my first platinum ever). It's really easy, its called super hot mind control delete. After you finish (If you do it), you should try and get platinum on the normal super hot.

Awesome work Nick!! I remember having the original game on PS2 and struggling to ever past the flooded city. (I eventually did after a few years of coming back every so often) Quite a few years back I got the PS VITA ‘three in one’ version and explored the 2nd and 3rd games for the first time, managing to get everything done in game 1 and 2, but weirdly game 3 had a bug where landing on some planet always crashed the game, and they never fixed it for the VITA release.

i did that a while back when i still played it on the ps3. its easy doing it on Ratchet and clank, Sly copper and Jak series. if they ever brought the game back again i would love for it to run in 60 fps.

jesus. i feel your pain to collect the bolts with the hack. yes its a hack. but lord it takes FOREVER. to collect just 50K. without the hack you need a good 2nd gameplay to get something decent. my bad because I spent all the bolts to buy the RYNO. and then I couldn't do the hack anymore for that gameplay.

I like Spyro and Crash. But I love Ratchet and Clank and Jak and Daxter. These platformers were a head of their time. Not really but no one else has made good platformers like these 4 since so it technically counts. lol Too bad people arent interested in platformers. @@nick_ar It's my favorite, and very enjoyable. It's similar to Crash/Spyro/Ratchet so if you liked those, you'll like the Jak & Daxter trilogy. There's even a racing game called Jak X. You can play them all on PS5, but they're all PS2 store ports so expect PS2 graphics. They didn't get the remake treatment like Crash, Spyro & Destroy all Humans. Hopefully someday they will, but just know Jak is still worth playing. Fun fact: Uncharted was the successor to Jak, and then came The Last of Us. Jak laid the foundation for Naughty Dog to make those 2 franchises. They still honor Jak & Daxter to this day through easter eggs in their newer games.

That skill point for getting under 1:35 on that hoverboard race in the first game was the hardest trophy in the remake for PS4, at least for me. It took me hours of tries. But now that you did it on the original game, I'm sure it will be no problem for you on the remake! Just insane. You're probably my favorite channel that does these platinum journeys!

I had no problem with that, mainly doing tricks and shortcuts did the job. What I hate about remake trophies was grinding all weapons to max level, and also that trophy where u had to make all types of enemies dance

Heh, your last RC1 skill point was also my first. As a kid when I realized how those slingshots were placed, I tried to sling my way through the entire thing without hitting the floor. It felt very satisfying, and it was also how I learned that the game had skill points, just like the PS1 Spyro games.

I too platinum the Ratchet & Clank trilogy on my PS3 a few days ago 😃 and I even platinum "A Crack in Time" and "Rift Apart" before I did the trilogy, and after the trilogy i platinum "Into the Nexus" yesterday. Also, I don’t have to platinum "Tools of Destruction" since the game doesn’t have any trophies, but I’m fine with that. Hey nick not sure if you’ve seen it but I died on level 22 of Splasher during the no death run, literally the same jump you died on it’s actually bugged. For some reason if you shoot the bouncink at the laser your hitbox goes smaller and you don’t get hit, and I used the bouncink strat pretty much everytime during the speedruns except here cause I thought it was too risky, I also could’ve just jumped normally aswell instead of using the bouncink only once. I managed to fluke it from level 18 (which coincidentally is called Rayman Legends) and I really thought I could do it since level 22 isn’t that bad but I died. I’m obviously still gonna keep trying I can get it anytime now, I’ve gotten super good at the levels now and my confidence boost is rising, so far I only have the 22 individual levels and the selfish speedrun platinum medals so i’m Im 23/25 there, I’ll keep trying since I know I can do it it’s just really painful as you know. No way Nick, Ratchet and Clank was the first ever game me and my dad got and bonded over on our PS2, all those years ago. You and me are the same age, I don't see my dad much anymore due to my parents divorce but I have played every Ratchet and Clank game, and we used to play every game together. You platinumed all Spider-Man games with trophies alongside Batman Arkham Knight + city My suggestion? Go for platinum for Batman Akrham asylum (it's been remastered so, so you can play it on your PS5), Batman arkham origins, which is only playable on old gen consoles, and Marvels Spider-Man PS4/Remastered (it's one of the modern Spider-Man games with very easy trophies)

You exacly don't need to upgrade the weapons to blue version, just orange version, i remember having this trophy, it took me 3 or 4 days because of the spider weapon which is garbage af. Still i misso a lot this game.

Of the 105 platnium trophies I currently have two of them are from Ratchet and Clank 2016 and Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart. I do own all of the retro R&C games thanks to my PS plus subscription.
