Another great vid! I think the leaderboard ban happened to a lot of people during that time when servers were going to close. From what I could tell, it was extremely difficult to avoid accidently stumbling into a server with a modder, almost all public lobbies had one. So anyone who still needed the Level 50 and 100 trophies, or didn't have the otherwise unattainable bounty trophy, were in a tough spot. Though I had only gone back to complete the DLC Heist trophies for that 100%, which I had already done on the PS4 version years prior haha.

It's a shame. It was near impossible avoiding them. 9 times out of 10 it would be a modder that would just kill you but it was rife with all sorts of modders. I don't regret it lol. It saved me countless hours of mindless grinding xD

So hear me out on this. I was watching you and PlatinumBro on an old podcast. You were interviewing the Missing Collectible (Peter & Dibble). So you mention the Heists on GTA V being bad and after playing with randoms, I fully agree with you. I was doing Prison Break. Not too bad. But I was playing Demolition and after the prisoner escapes, I have to pick up my teammates. One high level (over 500) purposely jumps and dies by the helicopter, so that meant replaying the entire Finale again. On the second go, he gets into the helicopter and before we could land and finish the mission, he jumps out and dies. Trolling in GTA Heists is awful.

Just a note, I got auto pop trophies on Sly Cooper Thieves in Time for my Vita when I copied my PS3 save. I suspect Playstation All-Stars would be the same, just never got around to it.

I only look on there to check my trophy progress. Many of the guides are missing/wrong information and the forums are full of toxic people. Mods are high on power trips and probably have nothing going on in their lives outside of trophies

I still feel like PSNP leaderboards is filled with countless easy plats rather than actual skillful plats, but the rules are very confusing lmfao, I'm currently flagged because i played a track on trials rising (that was in the game) and it got me every trophy in minutes and i got flagged for it even though it was a trending topic that it was happening and that it was an IN game track

i was always a fan of GTA but after i didn't get the platinum trophy i deserved, i stopped playing i invested so much time and collected all the trophies. i completed the game at 100% but never received the "career criminal" trophy, even after a half year it still didn't pop up. i wrote to the support of GTA and proved everything with screenshots but they didn't help me and only told me to wait for future updates, which didn't change anything 🙄😡 so i wasted all my time for NOTHING, no career criminal trophy - no platinum trophy for me while it's clearly GTA's fault 😔

Nope, you get a ban anyway if someone flag you. If you want to reappear in leaderboard you need to hide the game. If you have 3 games flagged you stay banned from leaderboard (if you hide the games is the same)

I just ignore multiplayer trophies and call it a platinum anyway 😀. I call that a "poor mans platinum". If I have any trophies that require internet then I ignore them completely since 99 percent of the time they are unobtainable and not worth bothering with. Win 50 consecutive online matches.... no thanks. The people who come up with this need their head meat replacing.

@@GuyFarruski What did we do before trophies? I look at it like that. We did the campaign and moved on. They add so much bs just to tickle my ocd its annoying. I think 95% of trophies should not exist. There should be only a completion log. Date, difficulty, game and thats it.

@@GuyFarruski Thats the thing. Gaming is supposed to be fun. Trophies are not fun. Enough said. The idea behind them is not for our enjoyment, the truth is they do not care about that. Its all about increasing the hours of a game without development so the not so cognitively blessed of us won't complain at the cost. They can say it will take 150h to platinum but what they don't say is most of that time you'll be rewatching hours of dialogue over and over (rockstar) and repeating gameplay. If you die while going for gold on modern RS titles you can't use any checkpoints so that involves redoing the mission from start to finish. This is usually 15-20m of dialogue and travel before any action. Again... they do not care. FarCry games have only 1 save slot for both autosave and manual so all you really have to go back to is autosave because manual gets overwritten. This is done so people pay for microtransactions. I'm starting to regret that ps5 since modern gaming is grueling and not fun.

Trophies may not be fun for you, they are for me lol That's why I hunt them xD It's definitely not for everyone but just because the trophies are there, it doesn't mean you have to pop them, there's nothing wrong with not platinuming a game if you're not enjoying it xD
