Either Chessbrah don't know or the $$$ is too much to refuse. I imagine Betterhelp is probably a very lucrative sponsorship since they are probably sponsoring very aggressively to recover their image.

They probably already have bots that can make moves at different time intervals to seem more human like. I don't see the allure of cheating at chess, your wins will not really be yours. You may reach a high rating and all you can do is live in a fantasy world where you are a master at chess. So stupid.

I had to wear coke-bottle bottom glasses as they called them when I was growing up in the 70's and Canadian kids were merciless. I was physically mentally and emotionally abused to the point that even mow 50 years later, that scars of this society are still painful. I understand your reservation. I would have loved the luxury of just not doing it because I didn't want to. It's hilarious that the whole world bought into how mice the Canadian is. I'll never forget the beatings for being a four-eyes. I guess I should be grateful I wasn't a native child to be put in the ground unceremoniously for being different.

Noticed in chat someone mentioned him taking 8 seconds to move. That's an old rule, the engines are faster than that now and if it's a bot it can move in 0.1-0.3 seconds every single move.

You can set the time. So if you’re playing rapid you might set it to 8 to make the moves look more realistic
@SilverVayne5 ай бұрын

@AllTheHandlesTaken5 ай бұрын
Depends on the game. If you catch someone with a known idea and checkmate them in seven moves, you can get a 100% game at like 400. Basically, accuracy doesn't mean much if the moves are known or easy to find. Obviously, in this guy's case, it went the other way.

@mammeljuice5 ай бұрын
I don't get it does the engine take longer to solve endgames? Is that why the cheater thought it was a draw but aman knew it was a win
@ismbks4 ай бұрын
this is a good question. i don't really know how they use engines to cheat exactly, but you can't premove with stockfish because it need to assess the position after the opponent has played. so, a clueless player using an engine would have no chance to win an endgame with time limit, because he could take 3 or 4 seconds for obvious moves that should take 0s with premove. i think this is what happened here, the longer the game goes the more the cheater is wasting time looking at the engine for trivial moves and if he doesn't and starts playing on his own he might blunder and lose the game on the spot. one thing i am surprised is how he was able to get such an even position again this cheater, i'm not good at chess so this went over my head how he was able to pull this off.
