"You play for fun? I play for nonexistent prizes and to win" Playing for fun means that the act of playing gives you joy, and that joy isn't depending on the outcome When a basketball player says he plays for fun, he enjoys the game, shooting balls, obviously a pro athlete plays for money... what a bad comparison

@@LittleMushroomGuy No person who has to announce that they are playing for fun is actually playing for fun. If an important basketball player plays bad in a big important game, then responds with "Hey man I play for fun" That's cap

@@siopaoguy1. No pro athlete says that, and 2. playing Master Duel or at your local game store is not equivalent to playing in the NBA. Its like you go to the school playground and scoff at the guys playing "pff but if they say that in the NBA it would be a cope" You make no sense, unless you really think being a pro NBA player, who has a multimillion contract and whose job it is to play basketball, is equivalent to playing Yugioh 😂

@@siopaoguy Enjoyment does not only come from the outcome but also from the process. Having fun painting doesn't come from finishing the painting but from the process of painting, same goes for any activity or hobby. You think a runner only enjoys crossing the finish line? Praxis vs Poiesis, common even the old greeks were talking about that

@@LittleMushroomGuy Oh I totally agree with everything you say. But there is no need for someone to announce that they are doing something for fun because it's already implied, unless they are hard coping.

@@LittleMushroomGuy if “having fun” means enjoying the process (which I don’t disagree with) then why announce “ I play for fun” after losing. The point of the video still Stands are announcing it is either needless or an Lousy attempt to imply the other person isn’t playing for fun which is extremely disingenuous especially after a loss

This video itself is a cope for your Yugioh addiction?

It sounds like you're so much of a spoil sport that even when YOU win and your opponent isn't tearing their hair out over it that there's something wrong with THEM. Your opponent says they just play for fun and that actually bothers you? It's not enough that you beat your opponent, they have to feel as devastated as you do when/if you lose? Maybe it's because when people say that to you, they're not saying the game isn't fun, they're saying you're not fun to play with, and that bothers you.

OK where in the video did he ever explain that he needs his opponents to feel “angry” “sad” or anything. he is just saying that responding with “I play for fun” after lose Then that makes the question if you aren’t even having fun since you needed to announce it

Losing isnt fun. Anyone who says they like losing is lying. Losing is a learning experience for sure but it isnt an enjoyable experience majority of the time.
