I have a bad habit of starting this game and then putting it down and restarting. This last time I played I didn't let myself restart because I wanted to finish the community center for once. I thought that meant you basically beat the game....I was so happy to find out there was still a ton of stuff to do. I'm currently in year 3.

I used to have this problem but stopped myself from doing it and currently am 80+ hours into a save fall year 2 Ive gotten so far!

For not looking anything up you did amazing! One thing I would add to your daily routine is tending your dog. He has a water bowl near the top of your farm you fill with your watering can, and you pet him every day. It took me 3 (in game) years to realize this and I couldn't figure out why my pet hated me 😂

Petting makes them love you, but the water bowl doesn't do anything. It's just for gameplay.

i never figured out what that was on my own-it look watching a stardew playthrough to find out😭 i love the game’s natural exploration but MAN it means less experienced gamers like me sometimes take forever to figure out maximization lol

I was also really overwhelmed when I first started playing Stardew, since it is incredibly complex. However, I find its complexity a good thing. It means there is a ton to explore. What helped a lot is watching guides and reading the Wiki because in order to actually unlock and explore everything you need to achieve some sort of efficiency and there are a lot of nitty-gritty details that the game does not tell you. Loved the video and I can't wait to see how your farm develops. I'm in year 3, fall and trust me there is A LOT ahead.

It is a game made for "Casual" gameplay but HOLY HELL the first time you play it it is SUPER overwhelming.

I love how excited you are to get to know all the NPCs and keep an open mind with them, appreciate all the little details and flaws about them. That was definitely my favorite part of my first playthrough

Ok Lady! Your first year in game, equals one fourth of the way where I’m at 2 years in game. I’ve never seen 75% of these cut scenes 😂 I only play the mobile version so I STRUGGLE with fishing, and I ALWAYS forget about the magic cart/wagon every Friday and Sunday. Congrats, and Thanks, for showing how AMAZING this game is!

The trick I learned for fishing on mobile is to tap the screen more than holding it, it takes a bit of practice to get the hang of how fast/ slow to tap, but if you can get high enough fishing level it gets easier. If you've never tried the training rod, I'd recommend getting to about level 5 with that, it's only about 50 gold from Willy

I was scared to get StarDew Valley as I thought I wouldn't like because of how complex it is but I love it! I haven't completed a much as you have in my first year as I didn't know what I was doing and I didn't but everything I should have and I kept missing festivals. I have a better hang at it now. I'm still in my first year but I've been grinding so I understand it a lot better now and I look things up. I'm excited to keep playing and to accomplish everything I can and this video helped me to see more things that I can do! This was so much fun and relaxing to watch and I love your humor!

I always recommend stardew and explain that it can be overwhelming to start but is worth it 😊 honestly, what you get done in a year isn't important. You can take as long as you need to do everything. My first save, I was like year 5 or something and still hadn't completed the community centre. You learn the best strategies throughout different playthroughs and what works best for you 😊 in general though, this game is all about how you want to play. Not how you "should" play 😊

Fantastic video! You accomplished a hell of a lot in 100 days... can't wait for the next 100 days. Played this game for years and was always a chronic restarter because I never felt like I did enough in the first year. Once I realized it never ended I just experimented a bunch, you are going to want to start another farm after the new update.

One thing you should know since you like the plushies, at 12:00pm on the last day of the season (28) you go to the bush behind the park and you click it exactly at 12:00. You’ll get a surprise.

Plant the ancient fruit in the greenhouse 😊. You need 4 dwarf scrolls, (red, blue, green, yellow donated to library. Bye all receipts and rare Scarecrow. Look in your journal and follow the footsteps of the little guy. You know once you get going you'll keep going. I'm at about 3500 hours into this game. One day you'll be 10 20 or more years on your Farm. This game never ends which is relaxing. Have a great week.

don’t know if you’ve played again since this video but two tips I have for gifting is that(there are exceptions) almost all characters like things that match their hair color and the recipes and items they send you in the mail are usually things they themselves like😅

i didnt on my first playthrough either bc it was so much money & i was always low on funds, and i assumed it would probably be a rarecrow collectible situation; it having such a good mechanical benefit never once crossed my mind😭

@@crstph The stardrop in the fair only requires the tokens you earn from playing games, the fishing minigame can take some time but its the easiest way. It's basically a gimme :)

I’m not sure if you’re using comments to help with the 200 Days, but if you are, here’s some help with Bachelor Gifts: Shane loves hot pepper and pizza Sam likes Joja Cola and loves Pizza Havery loves wine and coffee and likes most forage Elliot loves pomegranate, lobster, and duck feather Sebastian loves frozen tears and sashimi Alex loves Salmon dinner but likes all eggs Shane also likes all eggs, and he and Elliot both like all fruits Golden pumpkins are a universal love, anyone will take them. Rabbits feet are a universal love for everyone except Penny, because she sucks :) Also, Sebastian and Elliot are the best Bachelors. I love them.

I have this game for Switch and PC but the fishing for me is so frustrating I always end up losing my catch so I at some point just don't bother

Be careful! If you date (give the bouquet) all of the bachelors, they’ll catch you and you’ll lose hearts with them. And then they all break up with you and you won’t be able to get hearts with them again for weeks. If you marry one, the others who you’re dating will be heart broken and you’ll lose hearts with them and it will take you a while to regain those hearts. Some boys hold grudges longer than others.
