I Played 132 Holes With The Shot Scope X5 To Find Out Why I Suck At Golf

I like my X5 except for the short battery life, and except for one problem that I despise. It unlocks the screen in pin collect mode. When I study my putts, when I watch others putt, when I bend over to mark my ball, I tend to put my left hand behind my back.That touches my screen, and auto-records 2-putt pars on every hole. I then edit the scorecard, but i don't get pin locations or putt locations. Never give up when you have those 3-putts. Last round I ended the front nine with four consecutive 3-putts. I proceeded to 2-putt hole ten, then 1-putted the next five holes to get back to 34 putts for the round. The best thing you learn from the X5 is how far you ACTUALLY hit each club, as opposed to how far you THINK you hit each club. Now, when it comes time to select a club, I know exactly which club I want, and I never have a doubt at all, and I expect to be pin-high every time. (Now, if I could just hit them straight...) ;)

I moved to the newer V5, and I LOVE it. It tracks as well as the X5, has better battery life, and it loses the touch screen that I hated.

Brand new to the channel, and I really enjoyed watching you play a round with the watch and giving your feedback. I have been using the shotscope since the original aircraft carrier model. I am using the v3 now but will put in an order for the X5 because of the prior experience I have had with the company, plus seeing your review. Im looking forward seeing more vids here.

My V3 does one round also. Bit of a pain but not a deal breaker

I have the V5. I would be close but should be able to get 2 games from it. It doesn’t have a touch screen and costs a bit less. I don’t care about a touch screen anyway. The most valuable lesson I have is that I don’t hit as far as I think I do, and that helps me make better decisions. I know that with a fairly good strike i can get a certain number of yards, but in honesty I don’t usually do that so I was working with a mistaken impression of what I can do with each club. It also shows which clubs I am good and consistent with and which I am not and should practise more with.

Great video, appreciate the 'real life' experience. Would be great to see a side to side comparison with the V5 as i am looking to purchase either the X5 or V5 in the near future which I am sure is on many other golfers wish lists......

According to this device I’m going around in 50 or less. Doesn’t pick up the sensors. Seems fairly accurate on distances but so was the V3.

Just got a X5 myself Shot scope deal on ex-demo versions are really good value I think. LOL on your putter - should have gotten the Mezz Max instead then?

The putter was not the problem, it was the pilot! Still using an assortment of LAB putters for now

Make these watches last a full day/3-4 rounds and they will really take off more than they have. That's the biggest downfall. I know many who play 36 holes normally or golf trips where people don't want to have to remember to charge the watch before they head out for a second round. I wear an Apple watch already, so hard to convince myself to buy another watch. I may end up grabbing the H4 instead.

I have Arcoss, and was thinking to switch but you did not convince me. Battery does not last and look like a bit complicated watch.

Just purchased the V5.... much better reviews than the X5.... Im really liking it and the battery life is much much better than the X5

Weight looks like it is going backwards on the bunker shot. Flex your left leg more and set more weight on your front leg. Take a longer backswing and hit slower through the sand. The ball will pop out with more control. Cheers
