I agree totally. The dodging is kind of janky when it sends you around the enemies, there's a lack of impact with the finishing blows. And some of the audio cues could use beefing up to feel more impact full. But in general I had a good time playing the demo and I'm eager to see what its like on release.

colossal sword makes game easy mode. points into vitality or whatever the top stat is and cunning. get them both to 20 or higher. maybe alacrity to 17. then you can use most colossal swords and the abilities that require stats to go with colossal sword. RT will kill minor enemies. it will break gardeners in 1-2 heavy attacks. charge or jump attack and then a normal heavy or one heavy will break their guard and then you can riposte. small weapons need a buff in damage. colossal felt the only way to go for damage. they give you a colossal sword out the gate too that actually has great stats and no pre-req stats to use

@@blackwingninja1195 yeah thats kinda what im hoping they add to it backstabs and such. plus im really not a fan how all the enemies always get so so close to you(basically on top of you) while they are attacking so its hard to time the parries. I think this game looks promising if they fix some of these issues as well as balance it out a little bit. but yeah I'm hopeful

@@underwood9584 it's not trolling to say the animations in this game are stiff and awkward. It's hard to blame them, "weight" in a game is an abstract thing that's hard to get right. I want this game to be good but the gameplay I've seen so far has looked very awkward. Character models quickly snap into position when transitioning between animations, attacks don't really look like they're landing. It's an important factor in the quality.

I actually liked it even though it was a but rough around the edges. Unfortunately I ran into a bug at the 5th or 6th "bonfire" and could not go any further. Still isn't fixed so I just gave up and figured I'd wait until launch

just finished playing the hell out of the demo, about 20 hours of playtime, its just as good as Thymesia but just slightly under Lies of P, Day 1 buy forsure, solid 7 1/5 to 8 out of 10.

57:07 I found that out the hard way, I was standing next to the elevator shaft at the very beginning waiting for it to come back down and I hit B, and out of no where my character just dove forward straight into the pit... It was my firs death...

This game has potential but it needs LOTS of work. To the point where they need to delay the release. The framerate is dogsh!t on PS5. There is no excuse for that. Stuttering and popping were present but not frequent. I encountered numerous egregious bugs. I repeatedly put enemies into a staggered state, they would recover before I could initiatethe critical, then they became literally invincible. My sword would pass right through them while they could still hit me. Had a few crashes. The issues with the camera were never-ending. I constantly ran into situations where objects in the environment were completely obstructing my view. To the degree it is far worse than any souls game ever was. Pickups weren't being shown on screen but would be in my inventory. The jump attack is essentially useless as far as I can tell. Large enemies and bosses are waaaay too damage spongy. I could go on. Again, there is potential here but it needs at least 6 more months, probably more, in the oven.

Release date is too close so what you are seeing is pretty much the final game. Having said that, this is an indie game so it is understandalbe some of its issues. Both Lies of P and Lords of the Fallen were made by stablished studios with a considerable budget

I played the demo I don't know what the hell people are talking about I never felt such smooth Kombat on a Souls game everything about this game is Top Notch when you actually play it people talk s*** watching other people play but when I played it myself I thought it was amazing and I have beat every Souls game not one has ever felt this smooth it's a lot of fun and it's really great so far people just like to talk s*** and half the time they don't even know what they're talking about or the game is too hard for them so they want to talk down on it instead of just getting better

This game has so many issues. I have no idea how or why streamers are ignoring them. At least he says it’s sponsored. It does look beautiful, but that’s about it. Feels half finished. Combat feels bad. Parrying feels bad. Dodge animation is bad. Attack animations are bad. Hit detection is insanely bad. We’ve evolved past this kind of jank. Let’s see what happens when this releases next to Wukong. It’s honestly a mess.
