F1 Career Challenge still my favourite F1 game ever. Getting to move between the teams who all changed drivers and liveries between seasons was far more immersive than the Codies games. I spent so much time in there and in Championship Edition

F1 CE is the PS3 version of F1 06 which was on PS2. The PS2 game had all that as well.

Racing games in general have come a way. I remember playing Grand Prix 2 on PC in the 90s and that already felt like F1. That game was already licensed. I actually own F1 Pole Position on N64 as well as both F1 World Grand Prix.

@aarava N64 also my 1st taste of F1, but it was F1 World Grand Prix (I was born in ‘91) that I played (released in ‘98 but based on ‘97 season) Villeneuve name unlicensed so name was customisable, plus the OST was BANGING!!! Someone even uploaded an uncompressed version of the music

my favorite F1 game ever is F1 World Championship on the N64 released in 1997 or 98 cant remember but it was based off of the 97 season. It even had a setting where you can turn on 97 events where the same people who DNFed DNFed and it mirrored the season. or you could turn it off. you should try it

Well, the thing about F1 2009, is that wasn't made by Codies, Sumo Digital was the studio behind, and they are known by Arcade-y titles (Outrun 2006, Sega & Sonic All Stars Racing), hence the more arcade feel of the 2009 game
