Flatout 3 legitimately hurts. Flatout 2 and especially Flatout Ultimate Carnage, which was an updated and improved version of 2, were great games in general and the best experience I've had on racing games period. Not only did you have fantastic destruction derbies and intense races, but you also had the Stunt mode, which was a bunch of minigame that involved launching your driver through the windshield to see how far you can get or if you can get a strike while playing giant bowling Also, every driver's AI had a different personality and driving style, making you hate certain characters because of how aggresive they were or how slippery other were Flatout 3 was just a fuckint shitshow and it should had never existed. Whoever decided that game should be released in that state deserves to burn in hell

@@nightstorm5914 While yes, Team6 (the developers in question) did absolute garbage games before Flatout 3, I do believe the ones that bought the license were Strategy First, who as the name may indicate did not know a single thing about racing games and most of the games they published were RTS and managing games It was a combination of two companies, one of which was a shitty developer that started by making garbage copies of Crazy Taxi and a publishing company that had no fucking clue what the fuck they wanted from the developers

7 worst metroidvanias would be incredible, I played one called Aeterna Noctis and I was so determined to beat it. But after 40 hours of gameplay it bugged me into a wall and I couldnt escape.

The areas were sooooooo stretched out with nothing interesting in between. If the different levels were condensed down or had secrets to discover, it coulda been cool with some patches.

Towns is a typical "Mostly Negative" story. It was an Early Access game. Development was likely slow and/or troubled (slow in this case), until one day the devs and/or publisher decided to just quit entirely, releasing the clearly unfinished carcass out as a "complete" game.

To really understand FlatOut 3's rating, you need to play FlatOut 1 or 2. It isn't that FlatOut 3 is completely terrible in a vacuum, but that it is so much worse than the games that came before it.

I don't understand what Gasp was trying to accomplish besides maybe testing an FPS that tries to immitate realistic space walking. Even so, there was no need to put the markers so far away. The floatiness of your jumps and the awkwardness of the camera swaying did make it look like you were in low gravity inside a bulky space suit. I've never played Flatout 3, but it seems rather dissapointing compared to Flatout 2.

Just FYI: Towns is a Dwarf Fortress clone. When it was in development, DF was still an ASCI game. Towns was looking to be DF with real graphics and gameplay. And then the developers just abandoned it without finishing it. A lot of supporters of the game felt burned and that's why the negative reviews.

You poor summer child... The only way you could praise FlatOut 3 is because you have never played its predecessors. FlatOut 2 especially is beloved to this day for its tight controls, excellent soundtrack and for the time really impressive damage system. FlatOut failed in all these aspects spectacularly and instead was bloated by a ton of different, badly executed gamemodes.
