As an asset developer, and the developer of NWH Vehicle Physics 2 which is frequently the top selling vehicle physics for Unity, this video was interesting to watch. Most of the issues seen in the video (in regards to the driving physics) could have been solved with a bit of tweaking. E.g., the karting flipping over in corners is because the developer placed the center of mass somewhere far below the kart - essentially turning it into a pendulum. The cars that do not want to steer most likely either have CoM or inertia messed up, etc.

It’s always sad to see games that developers genuinely put time and effort into with good concepts get buried in steam to never been noticed. It’s like painting an exhibition for an art gallery but they put it at the back of the museum and don’t tell anybody it’s there. There might genuinely be great stuff that nobody has ever seen or heard of.

It was like micromachines on speed, the person who's made this was obviously a fan of that fun old game and tried to make an up to date version ofit.... and failed, badly lol There are to many coincidences I noticed, the lightening bolt on the turbo bar, the fact you get flattened when a bolder hits you, the yellow car was seen on its front cover and a fun one we all liked to unlock during the game and if that wasn't enough, the lay out of 2 tracks are exactly the same as tracks from ignition ((snake island and the moutain map))..... I'd really like to see it re-released on GoG but it's long gone in to the sands of time, along with the other racing game from the same company, "Screamer Rally".

Trackmaster developer here. Just stumbled on this video by chance and was surprised to see my game on the list! Playing Trackmaster is definitely an acquired taste, but it was developed with a very specific niche in mind. It is not supposed to be a "racing" game in the traditional sense, being maybe more reminiscent of a platform game in how it controls. You control the car using both sticks on the gamepad, with the right stick providing air control and stabilization. You can see a example in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pprJcoqLpN1pe5I The randomly generated tracks are an integral part of the game and it is supposed to not always be completely obvious which path is correct. This is a balancing feature, which makes the leading player having to drive a bit more carefully, allowing the others to catch up. Finding shortcuts and parts of the track that can be skipped is an important part of the game. Being quick to analyze the track layout and finding the best path is a skill that may win you the game even if you are the worse driver. Please keep in mind that it is a hobbyist game developed part-time by only myself. It is a very fun game in multiplayer and I have played many hundreds of hours together with my gaming group, for which the gameplay was customized. The game is still updated occasionally with new track parts and features, although I rarely bother to write any patch notes (for the whopping 66 players who have purchased the game ;).

If you are able to recover from that you can make a video like that with different genres that concept is very good and captivating.

My god, "Supercar Drift" was one of my childhood games i played on a browser. It bring back many good memories like that one rally game with similiar asset music, bro that melody is stuck in my head. Garbage game but enjoyable very much.
