Kevin Johnson... a walking 20-10 guy for years. Be objective and really think about all of these hall of famers Jordan overshadowed who in any other era would be far more celebrated. I still remember "Run-TMC". With respect to Mitch, he was a distant third option to Chris Mullin (who would easily drop 30+ ppg in today's NBA) and Tim Hardaway (another guy people forget who you could book for 25/10 dimes in today's league). That's how good the league once was. And just so we're clear, Mitch Richmond was a freakin' beast. Another easy 25ppg+, if not 30ppg player in today's league.

@@richieray04 Yes but why do Kobe fans always ignore Gasol? Pau was no slouch. He averaged 18.6/ 10.4/ 3.4 splits on 55.3% shooting in the 2 championship seasons in L.A. His Playoff numbers were nearly identical: 18.9/ 11.0/ 3.0 on 55.8% shooting. In the 2009 and 2010 Finals combined, Gasol averaged 18.6/ 10.6/ 3.1 on 52.7% shooting. In the Game 7 clincher against Boston, Pau had a 10.4 BPM compared to Kobe's 0.3. idk how many more examples I have to give but the disrespect that Pau gets from Kobe fans is ridiculous.
@hainavidotcom
@hainavidotcom 2 жыл бұрын
@@richieray04 horrible analogy, Pippen is no Shaq, not even close. Shaq won without Kobe before Kobe won again. Kobe accumulated MJ's coach, teammates, called Mj for tips in the middle of the night, and still can't be as great as MJ. Kobe is the greatest protege of all time and that is all. Pippen avg 10 ppg his first 2 seasons in the league. Shaq never avg that. MJ was dropping 37.1 and 35 ppg during that same time frame. Playing with drug addicts and still getting the playoffs. MJ's rookie season is better than Kobe's entire career statistics in a nutshell. You Kobetards are rabid and delusional.

This is a debate we have in the barbershop all the time and I was saying Kobe was the Goat over MJ at first but after I did some strong researching I believe Kareem abdul Jabbar is the Goat. I went back and looked at highlights when Kareem was young when he had the fro and the dude was unstoppable on offense, he even brought the ball up the court, plus his defense was crazy good. On top of that his accolades are better than MJ and Kobe. I'm from Kobe era but Kareem has 6 rings, more MVP titles, all time leading scorer in points, 3 national NCAA championships, 4 high school state championships, and the only reason he doesn't have 4 NCAA championships is John Wooden didn't believe in playing freshman.

The main issue is that Michael Jordan fans are generally very uneducated when it comes to NBA history and basketball so they constantly disrespect other greats who are a threat to their idol like Kareem, Mikan, Wilt, Bill Russel, Dr. J, Magic, Bird, LeBron, etc.
@RatedRex1
@RatedRex1 2 жыл бұрын
@@arioca Kareem was a tall guy with a deadly skyhook. But he needed the two greatest point guards in history to get him the ball. Kareem did not bring the ball upcourt. Oftentimes he was the last guy joining the offense. I got Kareem 5th all-time, behind Jordan, Lebron, Magic, and Bird.

My only issue with Kareem is that from ‘72-‘80 He didn’t even make a Finals...he won 6 titles, but it took him 17 years...aside from Russell, Jordan achieved the most in the least amount of time : 6 in 8.
