There's a lot of nostalgia on this period, so people are biased on their experience of commander back in the day... I think commander has never been this much fun, but a lot of old cards and ban philosophy prevent it from being completely casual to everyone.

My Lord of Tresserhorn deck is one of my favorites. Fun stuff you can do with him: he's a zombie so he gets those benefits, give him double strike, make him unblockable, give him infect, use stuff like stifle to counter his etb, and finally have a gravepact on the table when he etbs

Didn't you yourself say that each deck started with 3 lands in play in your previous video? Idk if the featured decks belong to that era, but that would explain why all cards are that expensive to play
