I Played as a MERCENARY in Crusader Kings 3!

Can you play as a Mercenary in Crusader Kings 3? A true sellsword who offers his blade and army to the highest bidder, ready to fight wherever and whenever he is called? ABSOLUTELY!
In this video, I will show you how How I Played as a MERCENARY in Crusader Kings 3! By using an overlooked mechanic in the Fate of Iberia DLC system "Iberian Struggle", called Contract Assistance, you are effectively able to play as an army for hire!
In this video, Koifish will play as Guts from the anime berserk, transported into the world of CK3 using the character designer! We will make a name for ourselves in Spain by ruling over our own Mercenary Kingdom! This requires no Crusader Kings 3 mods! Even though there are some amazing Mods for CK3 out there, this playthrough guide will show you how to do it without any of them!
I will be using all the tips and tricks and strategies that I went over in my Lifestyle guide series, mainly focusing on Martial and Learning! I'm also playing with all the current DLC, Including Northern Lords, Royal Court and Fate of Iberia!

I once got the haestings dynasty to become legendary after varagian adventrue to iberia and converted to almohadism then through the power of rngesus got the kingdom of Valencia lost some land due to me being the cause of the crusade weirdly and ended it due to there being too many powerful people in iberia

Is it though? I mean, at best it could give a morality boost because soldiers get inspired seeing their ruler kick ass. But it has no bearing on tactical or strategic ability.

@@muradunknown6954 I sincerely doubt that. There is a mod where you can fight the battles in Bannerlord though. I haven't tried it but I saw a couple videos on it.

@@rosalind1635 yeah I use that mod Its a decent mod, you can chose your weapon and what you do in an army in that mod For example, if you chose first line you will get duels more frequently But the thing is its only effect is that you can battle against couple of enemies' knights and thats about it And yeah your prowess affects the battle, because if you inspect battle you can see how many kills your knights and you did and it depends of prowess

Given Holy Orders are effectively barons it would help if multiple lieges were possible. I'm guessing a version of the Pope mod will help with succession and internal politics too.

Further thoughts on this Merchants & Mercenaries mod: You play as a Guild/Company and can specialise as fully military (mercenary) or fully trade (merchant) or a mix. Additionally can go religious and be a Holy Order. Succession is elective but you appoint the electors who run the cities or castles you run in each country, or are your lieutenants in your military. You can be on multiple rulers ' councils - perhaps a limit here? - events will help you control ruler policy to your advantage. A civil war / rebel mechanic would help mirror partition.
