Here's some back-sitting When you're at max money the money gets deleted from the economy, where this money could go into your pops as higher wages/cheaper taxes/more jobs and therefore increase education and buy orders for your industries. As an unrecognized power the debt credit is crippling so u shouldnt go into debt either. Find a way to be at a positive equilibrium (but never max) until you are recognized.

Companies aren't a waste of time without the prosperity bonus, for most of them that's a secondary benefit. All companies give a buff to construction and throughput on their associated buildings and this bonus is always active.

I agree with the other person, building as much construction as you can so you're not stockpiling gold but also not going into debt (unless you're a great power) is very good, any stockpiled money past the end of the gold reserves (the gold bar under income) disappears from the economy into thin air, so you'll want to either decrease taxes so your pops can use the money or build up construction, both of which benefit the economy Also, the Extra Supplies thing is just a percentage modifier, so if you aren't already paying for tanks you won't need tanks to use it, it just amplifies how much of your current equipment you need And, damn, your computer is a fucking tank for making it to 1958

I must’ve encountered a bug then because in a previous game I used the extra supplies and my revenue tanked (lol) due to lack of tanks and how expensive they were even though I never even researched them. Very good to know that that isn’t supposed to happen.

Heads up, the way the game calculates prices with consumption taxes, a consumption tax on grain actually decreases the price. The pops pay more for it, but the tax is not counted into the market price. Very counterintuitive, it is essentially using the price for the seller of the good.

TLDR: consumption taxing grain - BAD Consumption taxes have no impact on market price, as they don't change the level of consumption of the good. So the price of grain should be unchanged. Your pops consume the same amount of grain, and while they do so they pay additional taxes. The price may be slightly different because a consumption tax on grain will lower standards of living (very bad) and change pop consumption that way. Better consumption taxes are those on luxury goods because taxing the wealthy is more efficient than taxing the poor for influencing standards of living.

Ooh big mistake at the start. Consumption taxes don’t increase market price or affect consumption, since both are calculated with sell orders and buy orders. All taxing grain does is make people poorer and doesn’t help trigger corn laws. Don’t tax things that the lower strata buys unless you’re really desperate for money

Extra supplies don't require tanks so long as you aren't using any. They make you use a percentage increase more of what you use. A multiplier essentially. But anything multiplied by 0 is still 0.

The whole construction sector "bug" in Punjab isnt a bug.. Punjab is a split state where EIC owns some of it. they have the 2 construction sectors build in their part. thats why you can max out your construction sector in Punjab :)

I deleted my entire building sector until I knew I could afford it. I deleted my army the moment I was on good terms with Europe (guarantees and defense packs with majors) and didn’t build up until I could afford it. I built cash crops and sold them to every nation I could. I also had heavy taxes and tariffs. That’s really about it.

you can cheese Brits out of EIC early game by siding with them in the opium wars and then starting a play against one of EIC's puppets. Britain won't join because you're already siding with them so when the war starts EIC will become independent and then fragment after the war
