Hey Pyron, I just really want to thank both you and Butch for sharing this magical bit of yours with us. Over a decade ago, when I was still with the love of my life, I used to play WoW and often times I would order pizza; funnily enough, it used to be the Barbecue with extra chicken! From Telepizza. Watching you interact and talk has moved me greatly. I am at a much different place in my life right now, but I wanted you both to know that it is with tears of joy and gratitude for those great times that I write this, and that I wish you both, and anyone reading this, all best, with your loved ones, in AND out of WoW. Enjoy, and change only, for the better. Hugs from southern Spain. E

It takes patience to play original WOW but I like the pace vs todays instant dophemen hit style of gaming. I started playing WarCraft the strategy Game back in 1996 & that's were the idea World Of Warcraft got started. Blizzard was King back then with WarCraft, Diablo & StarCraft. If you want to play a crazy game for good KZbin content try Diablo 1.

I've been playing WoW since its release up until Legion, then I stopped. In my opinion, this is the best WoW Classic first-time video ever. You're playing it the way the game was truly meant to be played. Watching this brings back so many memories of my guild and those days. The interaction back then made it feel like a second "real" world. I envy you for experiencing this for the first time. Love the video!
@wandameadows5736Ай бұрын
Really WOW was designed to fit whatever game play style you prefer but your right co op makes it easier & creates a memorable social experience if your into that kind of thing but there's also fun in the challenge of soloing. Blizzard really did a great job with the World Experience that i've yet to see matched. Today is all about speeding through content & anticipating what's next.

His excitement at seeing Thunderbluff was amazing. Its a beautiful town and one of my favourite hangout spots too. Its one of the few places between retail and classic that is basically unchanged too

Laughed like an idiot at the first encounter with the *famous warrior and savior of Orgrimmar Gamon.* I used to level my bank alt and wear fancy low level blood elf armor so I could do an _honorable duel_ against Gamon in Orgrimmar. (He was only attackable so he could be pickpocketed for a quest but he's always been a bit of a meme.) the progression essentially went: classic - Gamon is attackable and regularly killed by players just because they can wrath of the lich king - new death knights get hostile remarks from NPCs but Gamon straight up becomes hostile and charges you going *GAMON WILL SAVE US!* (to then inevitably die because death knights start at level 58) Pandaria - during the raid on Orgrimmar we rescue Gamon who then takes up a huge axe and helps us fight our way through Orgrimmar. He's tired of being kicked around and it's time to kick some ass! modern - Gamon retires as Hero of Orgrimmar, finally able to enjoy his drink, being no longer attackable.

You're making me want to play again omg, I played WoW so much the first few years when it launched! The magic of no fast travel, having to take your time to figure stuff out and finding all the secrets, actually reading the quests to find out where you have to go, meeting others and randomly grouping up etc... would love to do that all over again! I remember so well the first time me and my brother travelled way off to a zone more than twice our level just for the adventure, and we actually managed to find and open a chest filled with crazy loot. It was wild.

A core memory of mine was jumping around on the stones in the valley of spirits. My parents played WoW right in the beginning when I was still small. My father would let me move his character occassionally, or put follow on my mother and collect herbs for him. The first time I played myself was in legion way later, but I keep remembering small things from classic every so often.

Glad you ran into people that hung around and chatted with you! Classic is definitely more sociable than retail in my experience, but even then the majority of my interactions are polite business and then we go our separate ways. Dungeon groups are usually more talkative by necessity, so a lot of my favorite moments have happened in those. It's truly heartwarming to see someone so bright eyed and full of wonder at this world that some of us have known for 20 years. P.S.: As a Tauren main, I can comfortably say Mulgore is the best starting zone.

Vanilla original player here. I see nothing wrong with questie. We used to have to tab back and forth to Thotbott- which was a pain in the butt and could slow other people. Back then also a lot of info wasn't available yet on thotbott because it was an aggregator of information provided by other players.

for someone who played a little while or want a more qol experience its fine. But if your goal is to experience classic, than this is the dumbest thing you can do. Having to read the quests and the frustration of looking in the wrong place WAS the classic experience in the beginning. Doing it after lvl 20 would be totally fine but before is just dumb

I really appreciate these videos. I played WoW at the very beginning, closed beta, open beta, launch, etc. Seeing someone experience that first time brings back a lot of the wonder I felt back then. Thank you for that shot of nostalgia and bringing a smile to my face.

That auto loot reaction was priceless! :D But seriously, as a wow vet I really think the intro video idea of yours would really help bring new folks in and be healthy for the game. :) Also some small series of short tutorials videos on the main aspect of the game a new player must be familiarized with would also help and additionally add some extra hype. :) I've seen this done with a few game back in time and I remember hyping up so much while watching them in school and I couldn't wait to get home and actually begin my journey. I'd love to see some of these and other retention methods employed by blizz , cause our fav game needs some love and new blood. I might be a vet of the game, but I believe we need some innovation and some of the classic's soul must be brought back to retail so that we get a newer, yet authentic wow and once an for all have a modern version we can all play on and commit all of our efforts to it so that we get 1 absolutely awesome game, rather than 19 different versions of imperfection and issues. Great video! I usually have mixed responses to those, as some people have been talked into thinking certain things, having untrue perceptions, without even diving deep enough or researching them on their own, but with you I quickly got a genuine vibe from and also most of the criticism (if I can call it that) was very diplomatic and with a sense of humor. I just love respectful people. :) Enjoy the game, no matter how long you decide to keep playing it for. Cheers!

12:12 yes, magic in classic wow is pretty OP. Mages in classic are jokingly referred to as “the original hero class” or “blizzards love child” because of how much easier the game is for them. They can CC, they do great damage, they’re great in PvP, they’re just so good. They even have the ability to level faster by just rounding up a group of mobs and AOE them down repeatedly. They can make food/water and can teleport and make portals. They can even solo some dungeons. Mages in classic are definitely an S tier class.
