Order Of The Phoenix was amazing. Every DA recruit has their own task and you explore a massive Hogwarts, have mad duels as and against many big names, duel voldy as dumble. It’s honestly an amazing early game, and leads into some really cool stuff in the mid a d late game. Truly S tier. Azkaban and CoS were the only other two I played, both pretty good. For real, I never had a memory card for my PS2, so I ran that thing for a week as a kid, asking my mate at school and finding guides on where that last FUCKING gargoyle was, only to have my progress wiped when mum realised the power button was on when she was vacuuming. When I finally got the last DA recruit, it felt like such an achievement for me, and the rest of the game did not disappoint. Highly, highly recommend.

I'm assuming he got the PlayStation version because it was the best selling version in the series for that particular game because the GameCube version was way better than the PlayStation version it was far more open the rooms were bigger and the graphics were better for whatever reason they really downgraded the game for the PlayStation

There was both a PS1 and a PS2 version. The Gamecube and PS2 version of the first game were the same, except the Gamecube obviously is a much more powerful system. But both are drastically different/a completely different game than the PS1 one (iconic cursed Hagrid) or the PC version, which are also very different from each other in terms of structure.

Oh man, I was expecting this to be a comprehensive playing of "every" Harry Potter game. It'd definitely be awesome if you make a Part 2 sometime and tackle the different versions of the games, Philospher's Stone literally has FIVE different versions: PS1, PS2, PC, GBC, and GBA, and they're all completely different games. Same story, but totally different gameplay mechanics, levels, level design, like everything. If you ever get the time/have the desire, you should at least check out the different versions of Philospher's Stone and Chamber of Secrets since those are all completely different games. After Chamber they don't do that so much.

Having played Goblet of Fire I will say this: unlike every other tie in game in the series, it is a co-op game. You are meant to play it with 2 other people, hence why the view is almost isometric to give a wide view of each character, and why there are always two squad mates with you. The experience is infinitely different playing with another person vs playing by yourself with the AI.

Harry Potter games were an amazing part of my childhood. From PS1 Philosopher Stone, to a lego Harry Potter on my computer, to PS2 Chamber of Secrets, the quidditch game, prisoner of Azkaban, Order of the Pheonix, Half Blood Prince. Just amazing. I absolutely loved the exploring side of those games because Hogwarts was so big, and me as a child had never experienced games like that where you can go wherever you want and you're not stuck in one area. I also absolutely loved the stealth missions you had to do in Chamber of Secrets with the prefects. There was nothing more scary being 7 years old trying to sneak past the prefects and then getting caught with that loud jumpscare note and getting locomotomortised. You'll notice I didn't mention Goblet of Fire because I didn't enjoy that game one bit hahaha.

I loved these games. Started with chamber of secrets and ended with order of the Phoenix. Only one I hated was goblet of fire because it's not like the others I played where you could explore. Can't wait for Hogwarts Legacy!!

I freaking LOVED the potion making in hp6 SO MUCH. Theres a potions club and instead of progressing the story i just completed all the levels in the potions club. And I actually really liked hp4 as well. I loved the spell and exploration mechanics of hp 5 and 6, like how you could slowly discover and repair more and more of hogwarts as time went on, i love stuff like that.

Of course bad games would do more damage to HP than JKR. As the creator of the world she can never do more harm to it than she did good. Chamber of Secrets for PS2 was amazingly fun to play though.

it was changed to the “sorcerer’s stone” because US schools thought children wouldn’t be interested in a book that contained the word “Philosopher” as they would most likely associate it with some boring subject they didn’t care about

It’s nuts how different each version of the first Harry Potter game was, the pc version was a pretty nice looking game for the time that followed the books decently and the gba game was a turn based rpg

I'm glad there's another prisoner of azkaban enjoyer. It's my favourite for the games and films too. Certified banger tier. The only ones here I never played, were the goblet of fire, half blood prince, and the deathly hallows part 2. I played DH part 1 on my xbox with the kinect, and as I kid, I thought it was the sickest thing ever cause I got to cast spells with my arm. My opinion of it would probably differ greatly if I played it again today...

I played the PC versions of the first 5 games, and the first 3 are WAY different, like not only the graphics, but the actual quests, areas and gameplay. The 5th one was slightly different, and the 4th one was mostly the same (and is the only one of the five that I have not finished, mostly cause I got stuck on the last level)
