Coming from F1 Manager 22, this is SUCH A MASSIVE STEP UP and I'm so excited. From the Affiliates down to the timing tower changing positions to make it more clear, absolutely wonderful. Just from Q1 alone, the quali behavior of the AI is vastly improved too! Although the AI tires being shown the exact percentage is annoying. It should just be "Used" or "New" or "X laps old"

I played the last 2 years on the PS5 and it was a decent game the amount of customisation in the new one makes it a longer term option to play beyond 2/3 seasons when you've won it all and your car is maxed out, great to see

Oh my gosh it's a sports game that actually improves gameplay over the cross of 2 years and adds a lot of content with each entry! Man I wish EA would improve it's sports game over the course of 2 years!

it's not a fair comparison because the EA game has been going on for a very long time they are at the point where realistically there isn't much new stuff they can add because F1 as a sport doesn't really change every year. The only thing they can do is try to keep improving what they already have which leads to people feeling like it's the same game every year because there isn't any new shiny feature so the game devs have to just take what is already there, move them around and call it a new fancy name to sell the game. This is what happens with yearly sports game that have gone on fire years now. Give F1 manager another 5 years and you will see the same thing. The are benefiting from the fact that its a new game so there still a lot they could add at the moment. Maybe if there was competition in the space it would make things better but we have seen with Football manager, FIFA, NBA. it's really hard for someone else to start from. scratch and compete. PES did a decent job for a while but the have destroyed themselves

Considering the eye-watering level of customisation in the create a team, I'm now extremely worried that they've spent all their time doing that and the actual gameplay, which has *always* been the game's problem and the reason it doesn't have much longevity, has been completely ignored lol

Think the ability to simulate race sessions combined with moving teams like they added last year and affiliate drivers you develop should add a lot to longer save games and getting through seasons that previously might have felt like a slog

I think the idea of multiplayer is probably better than the reality of it, realistically you'd have to play sessions at x1 speed as you both might be making different tweaks at different times. Then it becomes a case of finding 2-3 hours to play a race at the same time

@@WorkTheSpace Cant say I see it that way. There are various things you could do to make it an enjoyable experience. Scheduling concerns would always be the same in all multiplayer games so that wouldn't be an issue. Co-Op or even full multiplayer would be an unbelievable experience. Imagine playing with 9 other managers all fighting for the championship.

Having played my fair share of management games with large online group I promise you they're not very enjoyable. Everyone has their own pace and way of playing the game, the difference in scheduling these kind of games is the time it takes to comintue to make progress. It's not like an F1 racing league where you turn up for 2 hours and do 2 races, F1 Manager can take that kind of time to just to practice and quali. It's not very fun in a race or a season where your drivers both crash out or the season is a write off with nothing to race for and you can't x16 the speed because of everyone else playing

@@WorkTheSpace The beauty of the current F1 grid would be there would only be a need for 10 managers. With Co-Op 2. Ive found it easy to schedule multiple years of management games with multiple users. It gave the game longevity for me. Most multiplayer games would require all parties to be on at the same time so that wouldn't be any different to those. I would definitely rather it there than without

I don't disagree that co-op could be a great addition but I think given where the game is at currently the core systems need work before multiplayer should be considered. I don't think there's a single sports management game on the market that has a substantial multiplayer playerbase sadly and I think Frontier know that
