Dude you played so good - you just had an ice cold putter. First few holes you had a ton of birdie looks, and then a solid eagle opportunity on that par 5, so you could've easily been Even or under par if you get a couple of those to drop and boost that putter confidence. I would feel confident leaving that qualifier.

Honestly, great playing. You really grinded on the bad holes in the deep rough. You did well to even get it out of some of that stuff, let alone hit the greens. Also, really enjoyed your interview with Rick! Good to see the golf KZbinrs getting together and making some great content! A local course that I play fairly regularly up here in Canada is a links course, and the deep rough is actually even worse. Keep it in the fairways, and you're good to go. Stray, and the scores go up so fast.

For the record, Alwoodley isn't a links course, it's what the Brits call a parkland course. They are the ancestors of most inland courses in the US. A links course has to be adjacent to the sea, situated in the dunesland that "links" the mainland to the tidal areas. Being by the ocean without any trees, the wind at a links course can be especially fierce.
