Bro it’s storm 4 with slightly different tweaks and DLC fighters. They should’ve taken a completely different turn with the storm franchise, like maybe a 3D fighter like Tekken or a traditional MVC or Fighterz feel. That way it keeps those beloved support characters that Storm has always had, but that’s not what’s happening. So why would u take Storm 4.5 seriously? But that’s just my take on it. But if you’re looking forward to paying $70 for a “slightly different feel” and DLC characters more power to you.

It’s actually not good for quality Storm players. He doesn’t understand the game very well and the devs think what he says is good. Globku has pretty much tried to ruin and slow down storm because of his own lack of abilities. If they listen to what he says and implement anything, like removing subs (which globku wants), it’ll have a negative impact on the game.

The substitution has always been very powerful and then the game just revolves around who uses them up first which is boring for both competitive and casual in my opinion. Besides, I'm sure they had input from multiple content creators.

If you run out of subs, you have options still. In fact, running out of chakra is a lot worse than no subs. You are still free to play as aggressive as you like without subs, you just don’t have a safely to relay on. You’ll have to actually use your skill, see your opportunities to abuse your hit priorities, play range, counter, switch or even COUNTER SWITCH.

Thanks for the info. It's nice to hear there are more changes than I expected. Although I don't know how to feel about tilt turning into ninjutsu 2. I think it would be good if it were also customizable, but I guess that would only be for characters who have had different tilts like Naruto, Sasuke or Kakashi.

I can't believe it. For the first time ever I completely agree with everything Globku said in a video. These changes sound amazing (minus counterattack) I think the new chakra system will encourage longer combos without chakra to try and let it regenerate so your combo can last as long as possible. My only concern would be if the new characters are gonna be this strong I'm hoping older characters get some balance to compensate

I just hope they add the ability to start off as a transformation in offline modes. It was a feature before in the series, and it definitely needs to come back. Especially since the ai often refuses to transform, robbing me of the ability to recreate things like tails chakra Naruto vs curse mark Sasuke, or tailed beast fights, stuff like that is such a major part of the fun. That needs to be there.

It sounds like theyre pushing for a more aggressive version of storm with connections. Cus you mentioned two jutsus and the chakra bar refilling over time. It seems like theyre wanting to give you options to attack and with the new counter, make it so that you feel safer when doing so.

Its always interesting to see who people want playable. I see some of the suggestions and I'm like "i do not want them" lol. That being said, characters i really want(and fell free to disagree lol) are: orochimaru(boruto), anko(only is she's kinda cool, if they're gonna give her the ino treatment don't bother), himawari(I'm fine if they take the hanabi route with her), 5 kage(boruto) and a random one would probably be hiashi or something

I’m so glad someone else thinks switch tech is just a bit too much. People who are crazy good at using it literally blind the screen going back and forward. Reanimated Madara and Almighty Push are some of the main culprits with this. Hopefully they see how busted the system was in storm 4 and either deletes it or nerfs it heavily. Hopefully they get rid of any switch tech that freezes the opponent as well.

About second jutsu. I get that it exist to technically "replace" the tilts, but can I choose another jutsu instead? It won't change Pain or Adult Sasuke, which would always have Sninra Tensei. But imagining Rinne Sasuke with Inferno Fireball and Onix Chidori makes me scream from horror. Or like, Kakashi with 2 thousand jutsu and you need to guess every time which variation of moves they took.

I just want 2 things for this game. 1. Jutsu(beam) struggles. It was amazing in Storm 1. Not sure if it's an issue when it comes to online. 2. 2v1 matches. Similar ti Demon Slayer where the Demons are solo. May need to add an additional buff of some kind.

8:26 I feel like this segment isn’t getting much love. Thank you Globku, this part gave me PTSD as to why I stopped playing online on all their games. So many people cheese and abuse the system and fights be extremely unfair no matter how skilled you are. I used to constantly play against people that would do all of that in the same match. There’s no point in buying this game if all those problems you listed don’t get fixed. The cheese abusers will come back and the game will be extremely unbalanced, unplayable and un-winnable unless the player learns cheese tech too which is a drag..

Chakra Kunai isn't all that important in terms of gameplay, but as someone who played since Storm 1 and used a super cool version of that in Storm 2, I feel among all the things they removed in the game, that feels the most nostalgic so I'll miss that alot ;0; I'm not counting wall battle as "more" nostalgic since that was only in Storm 1.

Does it mean we can now change both 2 ninjutsus during the character select screen? For example, Sasuke (The Last) has 'Almighty Push' as his tilt skill and has 2 'Chidori's (default and 'Onyx') + 'Fireball' and 2 'Inferno Style' jutsus. Does it mean that we could theoretically have both 'Onyx Chidori' and 'Inferno Style: Flame Control' equipped???

ok so i'm actually really liking the new systems outside of one thing obviously. And one that I think is weird. -Chakra regen is great since I didn't like how in Storm 4 there was a dead air period where I needed to charge chakra. -Removing tilts is weird since they were an extra move everyone had. A game with 2 jutsus and a tilt would've been interesting but not having them isn't a big deal. -2 jutsus is amazing and gives characters way more options -Removing chakra shuriken is fine since I've always found that move to be uninteresting although I hope that some character's unique chakra shurikens becomes their normal shuriken. -I personally liked guard break since it gave me guaranteed damage in a game where subbing exists so I'm personally a fan of that change. -I think the counter change is horrible. Counter in storm 4 was perfect (minus switching to make the counter safe and switching to trap the person you countered and attacking them.) making it free and giving you a combo after it is a terrible change and I think the Storm 4 counter would've work here and would've still be strong since chakra regenerates.

The counterattack support switch thing was a glitch, not intentional, so you shouldn't count that as one of the pros of Storm 4's counter-attack since it was a glitch.

These changes could easily have been a balance patch rolled out to all Storm 4 players. I still cant shake off the feeling this is just another Storms 4 DLC, if not for that substantial 2nd jutsu per character. We need more gameplay videos.

It was cool at first in jump force but got annoying real quick seeing as it's really a waste of time and a complete pause of gameplay. It's not a viable choice seeing as they're going for more aggressive gameplay in connections, and it would definitely make me and others opt out a lot earlier I'm sure.

@@thesnipingspider3852 I see what you're putting down but think about it like this. Adding too much will take away from the consistency of what makes storm, storm. That's why in the previous 6 storm games, nothing was ever added without something being taken away. As far as that, It sounds like you're trying to implement QTE's in the core gameplay. They're cool in Story Mode where there's no connection issues to worry about, or interaction with two live players in general, but definitely not the ladder. If something like that was added as a mechanic, it takes away from the feeling of it being storm, which is not the ideal goal here for one; If the entire game has that then the Story Mode loses a little of what makes it so Iconic, as well as the fact that people will begin to compare Connections to Jump Force because of one small thing, when in reality the games are nothing alike. Another problem being a very large amount of maps where something like that wouldn't really be possible. (Ninja War, Uchiha Hideout, Final Valley, Chuunin Exams, Most Villages, exc.) And back to my original comment, It's a pause of gameplay and a waste of time. Evidence shows this game is made to be a lot more condensed and action packed, designed for matches to end faster, so why implement something that just slows it down more? It would be cool if we were still in the Couch Play Era where most people played Raging Blast with friends on a couch, but that type of stuff was there because it was meant to look cool and not so much be focused on the fairness and utilization in combat, but that's not the case. For 15 years, they've made 6 different storm games, and even the demon slayer game, starting with a big group of cool mechanics, but both removing and adding things as a test to see what works in the long run and what doesn't. Honestly, I feel like we wouldn't have connections without that demon slayer game, and as you can see from that; they've found pieces of mechanics that worked really well in there, made some modifications, and now it's being used to better the storm series in the form of Connections, despite them retiring from the "Storm" series. I would say, just trust CC2. There are a lot of things that may seem cool to us, but in the wide span of things as far as not just casual, but comp gameplay; just wouldn't work out, I have a few examples. Jutsu Clashing: It was cool to see In Storm, but mashing Isn't skill required gameplay. Lag. Delay. the fact that it'd have to be programmed in for over hundreds of in game jutsu created. Mashing breaks controllers, damages the players hands permanently, and other things, It's better off left in the past. Storm 1 Ultimate Jutsu Mechanic: The whole Idea is to not get hit by an ultimate anyway, so the punishment for being caught in one should always be the full front of it; Better off left in the past. Wall Combat: Coding can and will become an absolute nightmare with all of the jutsu that may not even function properly if done on a surface that isn't exactly flat, Ultimates wouldn't even make sense seeing as the ult would show you flat on the ground while in reality, you're on an entire wall, can cause more glitches along with the short animations once again slowing down combat, exc. The difficulty of the implementation itself is another thing that will just cause delays. CC2 has been evolving and doing this for 15 years, most people have been doing this for absolute zero. They've been receiving input from players for years, and have learned to separate constructive input from the ignorant rage input players, using it to make each game even better than the last (not including the trash that was generations.), So just trust the experts, and let them work to bring us another game better than the last, instead of having the fans backseat causing an absolute flop of a game, mmkay? (If I sounded aggressive, I wasn't. This was more of a reality check to all of the fans who see this than anything, while also addressing what you had to say, as well as other things I frequently hear from other fans, so don't take it too harshly, but I would take time and actually think about what I've had to say. After thinking a lot, Im happy with the new system, because now the gane will be more agressive.. I loved doing infinites, ultimate jutsus or even jutsu in the middle of the combos, but I only certain characters could do it.. and I always wanted to do it with other characters. Now it will be easier, and with counter no longer pushing you away, this will avoid the people who stay running all the time.. at least I think xD.

Glad that’s switch tech is still in the game and combos for new characters look flashy, with a lot of freedom in terms of picking up your opponent. The counter mechanic and chakra recovery has me worried. Could encourage a jutsu spam and runaway meta which turned a lot of people off storm 4 and revolution especially. Let’s hope it’s balanced correctly would be cool if we got a beta to test things out!

I told y’all to have faith in this game, I never lost hope and now I’m even more hype than I was before. This game is gonna be amazing, and as much as I can’t wait to just buy it, I just hope now they continue reevaluating and maybe changing more to improve on more things, and don’t rush the release. If this will truly be the last game, we need their ALL in this, even if they have to make patches after release. Anyways I’m extremely hyped for this game, I can’t wait to play as all these characters. One more thing I forgot as someone who never could get into ranked because of really bad lag and is forced to play against npcs most of the time. I personally need them to really update the difficulty of the npcs because it’s too easy even with their damage all the up on super hard so I hope they do something with that but it’s unlikely.

For me I lost complete faith in the game. The voice lines in the trailer sounded soulless and basic so that was a concern. No tilts hurt me a lot because it was a fun mechanic that some characters i actually loved to use. Guard break having a cool down takes away the hypeness because I always felt great wen I hit it since there were only two chances. The counter being free sounds annoying. Honestly I will not be buying the game and dont even want to play it. Taking away the tilt and making counter free are two changes i cant overlook

The cool thing about pulling off the chakra kunai it's that instant-guard-break is no more, in storm 4 you are able to break the guard instantly by making a chakra dash and throwing a chakra kunai immediately after, surely not every character can do this, but believe me, there are a lot

@@YoYofua No I think it's cool. The Shuriken glitch from the past I think got patched with the infinite Shuriken but the Power Shurikens have on Guards I don't think are like a Glitch they force you to block in some cases and then the Chakra makes them do extra Guard damage.

I play Neji Kid and the other one a lot and I know when he's on your Guard and beats you up with the Jump Cancel Chakra Shuriken Breaks the Guard. Once it's Near Red. And really that's not something that needs the deletion if you felt it was that bad then maybe all they needed to do was lower the Guard Damage of Chakra Shurikens or specific ones if they ever are able to do patches in this game they could even customize it say maybe Naruto early can like Have higher Guard Damage Shurikens while Later Naruto's stop having that ya know? It really would feel bad to lose Chakra enhanced Shurikens/Projectiles especially if they could be Unique with them seems like that just might not happen although I hope they stay in the Air some way to keep the mechanic because this just feels odd...
