The roadmap makes me excited! I love the style of this game, but yea there are a few issues with it in early access right now. I get lost in it easily. Hope they keep updating it because it’s fun so far!

I would like to see them really go into Slavic lore & Slavic fairy tales w/ the creators & historical people. From Rasputin,Vasalisa, Ivan, Rosa to the Bear shapeshifter, Rusulka,, leschi, etc. plus a bone chicken & patchwork cat as familiar Shorter travel, she can ride a butter churn with a large wooden spatula

Answers to questions!: You harvest wood like you harvest forageables, with your crows. Get close to a tree and click on your harvest button (I thing it's left click?). Couple of hits to the tree after, it collapses and with the button held you get the wood that has fallen. You can also collect wood from structures you fall, like the hunter towers. I personally love the exploration and looking for things so the gameplay loop is a little lost on me, because the game right now depends on you wanting to build up your house, which means you'll complete an area and leave for the next one and so on. Not all quests are the same, I got new quests in the 4th and 5th map and so on that I hadn't seen before. You also get more forageables when you enter new maps, mostly from villagers (cabbages, pumpkins, garlic etc). But I get your point that we need more main story. The map is actually SO helpful. Even if you can't see the overhead compass you can just open your map to see where your little icon is. Also, you can move your chicken house at any time. I've repositioned it plenty of times to be closer to the village, to a forest so I can get more wood, to the river just to look how it looks etc. The key to the game is exploration and building. And the story is about you traveling the river while Baba Yaga teaches you new things, that's why you're on a journey. Bit of a warning though!: the game is VERY buggy. I've had several problems with quests myself when you get out of and into the game again. And it sometimes glitches when you change maps. BUT I'm enjoying myself immensely and I've already played 18 hours (would have played more but work got in the way and another game I really wanted got released so I had to divide my time between them). If you enjoy building and decorating and exploration, go for it. You'll have a great time and help the developers be able to continue making the game greater. They also have a roadmap in their twitter account and discord (those are just the palces I know but there may be more) where you can see when they're planning to release the new patches

The third missing hive IS actually part of the quest! The Lutki took it (Seen at 5:52) and you can choose whether to take it from them to return to the village, or let them keep it.

Fun fact: "reka" means "the river" in Russian. Also, the way they pronounce this might be mind-blowing. It's like "reekA" : e becomes ee as in "meeting", but the accent is on the last A.

I loved the game, but I'm here exactly because I'm shocked there's only one quest and it's over. I thought I was the one who didn't get how to access the next phase, but apparently... That's all. I'm gonna finish my house tho

I agree with most of your thoughts about Reka. Its a game I wanted to fall in love with but honestly - it falls flat in really important ways - yes to the villagers dialogue and appearance - I spoke to them all and did their quests - but really was unmotivated to engage with them. The desolate open world wasnt particularly fun to explore - navigation and time involved versus rewards wasnt enough to keep my attention. Yes to finding wood and mastering building ... the objects were cute (especially the animals you acquire) but the overall process and mechanics felt stilted. Yes to the length of the game - I too felt the content was more in keeping with an introduction to the story and game, not the entirety of the story. DIfferent strokes for different folks. I'm glad this game is ticking the boxes for so many people - we're hungry for well executed, cozy, witchy games! However, for me - it was pretty meh.

Definitely gonna get the game, if only to support the devs! I really want to see more happen in this game, so if they can use my 15$ to keep working on it, I'm more than happy to contribute :')
